i think rajput is an very good book for mechanics of solids,
also you can follow books like ramamrutham,a.f.bower,madhukar vable, james.m.gere all the best |

As i think you have to follow the standard writers book but there are mainly two books for Fluid Mechanics which are famous whose writer are:- Dr.R.K.Bansal Frank White good luck........ |
