PhD and other doctoral degree are prepared in Germany in two ways. Either carryout research work in a graduate college within a time schedule, which is funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) a German Research Society, or work as a university employee as a part time teacher or research fellow at the institute.
Some of the university and private institute offering PhD are Technische Universitäten and Technische Hochschulen and non- university research institutes are the Max-Planck Society, the WGL Science Association, the Fraunhofer Society, and the HGF Association of German Research Centres, which work together with universities.
You must have a Master's degree in the field in which you want to obtain your PhD. You could approach the institute of your choice for details on how to get scholarship.

dear friend,

for phd programme in germany you need to be first a Master degree holder on the relevent subject.and beside this all the international course are taught in english so you need to score 5.5/10 in IELCT ot TOEFL 550.this score is essential for non english speaking countries.some of the university taught in german medium so you need to clear German language proficiency test, basically for literature subjects are taught by german language.

for information about university and fees details you have to contacts DAAD,new Delhi.they are only official agency who are dealing with this matter.you can visit their website :http://www.daad.org/?p=50411
this only for phd and post docs.
or you can directly mai to their office at: [email protected]

good luck.

Hello.

your attributes are really good.
Germany is a basically free education country. It provides scholarships for every individual based on previous work.

You have to take care while applying for German universities because its a quiet different process.

There are many centers helping foreign students all over the world for education in European countries. You can seek their assistance while applying to the universities.

All the Best!
