25km in 4hours for men and 15 for women...
its a tough task ..you need to be really fit n strong..

Strong mental fitness is required to study hard.........

Dear sir
i got medically unfit in NDA physical examination as my right ear have been operated twice and still i dont have normal hearing power.
Now if i qualify all d exams for IAS/IPS, i will be rejected medically here also for the same????
Please do reply as its is my dream and this physical fitness barrier is really distracting my mind from the worthy preprations.

no not at all friends even handicapped, blind candidates are also eligible

physical fitness requirements for IAS/Indian forest service is given

height: for Male candidate:
General (including SC and OBC): 1.65 m
Hill areas Male (General also) & ST: 1.60 m

For Female candidate
General (including SC and OBC): 1.50 m
Hill areas Male (General also) & ST: 1.45 m

Chest:-

for Male: Min 84 cm and 5 cm expansion

For Female: Min 79 cm and 5 cm expansion

Eye sight: 6/6 or 6/9.

Distant vision (Good Eye): 6/12 or Worst Eye: 6/9.

Near vision (Good Eye): J 1 or Worst Eye: J2

The correction is by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Ear: Good listening and normal ear cavity.

There is no such requirement to appear in IAS or IFS exam..
The eligibility criteria is you must have complete your graduation in any field..
And your age should be in between 21-30 years..
For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5years.. And For OBC the age relaxation is 3years...

These are only criteria you have to fulfill..No Physical fitness requirements are mentioned in the eligibility criteria.

there is no such special demand for physical fitness they only required ..
the person having good health...
as we all know that this I A S / I P S/I F S are all reputed jobs ..
so they always want the persons who havde smart personality...

my right ear dosnt work......one doc told its 77% incapable, but i cnt get PWD certificate becoz its just one ear....
i m an iitian and i can work hard to clear UPSC but m afraid that i would be declared unfit, becoz in IOCL same fate happend to me...
i studied hard and got 99.96% in GATE n applied for IOCL but when this happend to me, i was shattered.
plz tell me if i would be eligible for any post in civil services???

i am abhishek dhan, my right ear dosnt work, one doctor told its around 70% disabled,
last year, i scored 99.96% (percentile) in GATE n selected for IOCL but declared medically unfit....i was shattered....i wanna go for UPSC, i am an iitian and i can work hard to get through exams but i am scared that what if in the end same fate happend to me again becoz of my right ear? i cnt even get PWD certificate becoz its only one ear. I desperately want to know if there is any post in civil services i would be eligible for???

physical fitness required for IAS OR INDIAN ARMY FOREST SERVICE :

1.Eyesight would be 6/6.
2.There will be no color blindness.
3.Height would be minimum 165 cms.
4.Weight must be minimum 65 Kg

Dear friend,

IAS and IFS examinations doesn't have any physical fitness requirements . Even physically handicapped persons are allowed to give the exams. Physical fitness criteia is only there in army related examinations.

All you need to give the exam is hard work and strong mind set.

No one will get in your way if you have a good preparation..
