Ur question has no ONE WORD ANSWER. There are different parameters to decide that. and moreover,whoever comes 1st among them,it's of little significance for an employee.the rankings change quickly in this competitive scenario. At present,TCS is 1st,CTS 3rd IT company on Share revenues.I t changes every now and then. CTS/TCS has its own principles. Both are good or bad. It's like ICC Ranking.Can any1 say India is 1st Test Team forever? NO. INdia performs well,so 1st,if not,it will be last. THis competition is HEALTHY.

TCS is very old and under Tata Tag.
CTS is really young company of just 1991.

TCS and CTS both offers employee security and naturally don't sack!

TCS offers masters program in collaboration with reputed colleges.
CTS has Academia and tie-up with different universities.

TCS MATURED,SPREADED.
CTS YOUNG,FLOURISHING!

Thats all! this question is silly...A common people doesn't need to know such ranking. only correponding company heads are tebsed with such ranking... Every1 will njoy both.

Both the companies are equally good and have diversified business. I have friends and relatives working in both the companies. Since you are a fresher, the important things to be considered :
1. how much is the offer,

2. location where you would be working,

3. cost of living of the place.

CTS Kolkata having so much politics..If u are bengali you can survive...if u r not ...if u will resign even ..they(Manager & HR) will threat you ..like.we will not give your Relieving leteer,Experience letter..so Choose anyother location except kolkata...Otherwise CTS is very good brand except the worthless Kolkata location...

CTS is full of favoritism. I feel nothing to learn new there and is full of good marketing technique. Just show off you will be appraised else nothing will be there. CTS fired people during recession, but recruited some as a part of Marketing technique. With that name they are moving on.

TCS or CTS both are good. the thing is you have to perform well. so try to perform well in your exams. stop comparing and learn the things.
No company will fire the employee whose rating is good.

See friend both TCS and CTS are good as their comparative field.The difference of these two company are that TCS give joining letter for ILP later compared to CTS. But there is an advantage of TCS that is TCS sends their employee to the foreign very soon compared to CTS. But if I compare these two company in the IT industry then both are very well.

Dats far too good as those who were fired from TCS were actually ranked below the efficieny mark and whenever there will be a recission, those who don't perform will be in danger of getting sacked. Its normal for a Company to impliment cost-cutting in some cases like recission.

But for benifit of my friends :
TCS will provide job security, good salary, and less work load.
CTS will provide job security if you perform, good salary and work load will be there.

But if you are a fresher, then CTS is the better option. Why?

Now, think of now if you get into TCS, surly you will get all the benifit plans and all but the kind of Knowledge CTS will provide you in your career is not the case in TCS.
This is not about your initial salary but how much you will earn on the basis of your skills.
So if you want to enrich your skills in much better way opt for CTS.

The most good companies today in India for freshers will be Infy, Wipro, CTS.
TCS overrules all these but the matter of fact is that after 3 years of experiance the people will judge you on the basis of your skill set.
And my dear friends if you are highly skilled you can over power you can overpower anyone either that may be in microsoft or google.

Think of learning more to earn more.

Well, I have asked the similar question "Which is better Cognizant or Wipro" from 10 well placed IT & Software Professionals 6/10 voted for Cognizant.....!

Lets see what all 6 says why Cognizant is better:-

1) If someone wanted and promissing IT & Sofware career in Northern part of the country then nothing is better then Cognizant.

2) In the quarter ended June 2010, Cognizant grew its revenue sequentially by 15.2% while the Big Three struggled to even reach double-digits.

3) Job satisfaction + Healthy work enviroment.

4) Not a single Indian offshore service provider has been placed in the top category, which is strong positive reason except Cognizant.

5) Handsome pay package as compared to Wipro.

6) After IBM I will rate Cognizant.


Hope now it will be easier for you to take dicision.

congizant and tcs both are leading it company in india.but as per revenu and sales tcs is fsr forward to congizant.but in comparison to hr policies congizant having better policies.and having better future

As a Cognizant employee..I must say that is currently the best company as per work environment,salary..everything !!!

CTS is much better than TCS as they provide much more salary hike......CTS is the fastest growing company....CTS never sack their employee....

TCS is the most famous IT sector company at present, its market value, employee values, are so high, if anybody will work their means enjoying a great experiences, but Cognizant is also a very good company, its working in many sector, it is a multinational company, which is having his business offices in whole the world and now its company growth increasing rapidly, so never put up any confusion in your mind , if you having any chance to work with any of those company, then absolutely take a chance and build your career.

according to my view CTS is better when compared to TCS.
even the salaries are higher in TCS , teh work experience you gain there is not much useful when you skip to other company.
It si to better to work in CTS for 3-4 years and later you skip on to TCS.

It is very obvious that being a fresher it is always better to join TCS ,it is better in every respect regarding salary,salary hike,and facilities provided.TCS also provide a study leave of 2 years during which you can opt for M.Tech if you are interested.And only problem with TCS is a bond of 2 years still it is better company to start your career.

you are not mention from where you got the placement. But don't worry as soon you will get the joining date.
If you are placed from on campus i.e you were placed when are in final year of your course , then you will get the letter after 1 year from the date of placed.

Both companies are better,
cts has training period of about 1 year, which is large as compared to other companies.
you can also choose by seeing company' salary. i.e which company gives better salary.

e.g DRDO, ISRO, NMDC, etc
