Re: Attempt in GATE?
hi friend,
There are no criterian is decided in respect of attempts and age. You can avail scholership for a couse given in this form , for higher study. This score is valid for 2 years. Rules regarding attempt or validity changes with time to time , but in current scenario there is no attempt limit however GATE score will be affected each time you take this test. But GATE percentile will remain unaffected . |

Re: Attempt in GATE?
Dear Friend,
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an National level examination which is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science(IIS) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology(IIT). GATE is Master degree entrance exam in Technical line ,this also may lead to Ph.D;who are wishing to apply for Faculty or Research fields in educational Institutes or R&D centers. Since, according to the rules of actually there is no limit of sitting the exam, but you should keep in mind that GATE score is valid for 2 years. so,After the 5th semester almost GATE syllabus is covered ,so you can sit after 5th semester, otherwise,if your result is not so satisfied you can sit in final year being a fully prepared student in GATE. I think there will not be problem to clear the exam if you have basic concept in your main subject. Good luck. |

dear friend,
the total number of permissible attempts for GATE exam is not fixed.you can appear for many times.it depends on you. as there is no any restriction on the number of attempts made by the GATE exam authority. but its my advice is that please try to crack it in maximum 2 or 3 attempts.it will help you lot. By doing so you can save valuable time and labour. good luck. |

Re: Attempt in GATE?
There is no restriction either on number of attempts one can take or on the age limit in GATE exam.
That means you can appear in GATE exam as many times as you wish. However it is always preferable to clear GATE exam in first few attempts. For more details visit the GATE section of IIT's website |
