hello sir am margrate now am studying in B.com 2nd year. can i apply ICWA course directly? can u give any idea for complete this course successfull & what i can do for taking admission in icwa and what is the duration of the cource?

I am a first year student of bcom and now wants to pursue a profess course. I have interest in accounts but I didn't opt for CA because it has more of theory than practical.and I am not at all good at memorising laws and stuffs. So I am thinking of doing icwa because I have heard that it has more of practical stuffs and a bit of law. So please help me.. I am confused.

When should I have to apply for foundation? Want to know date for december

ICWA stands for Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
ICWA course is conducted in three stages, that involves :
->Foundation course
->Intermediate course
->Final course

Minimum age to apply for this course is 17 years. One cna apply for foundation course after completing his/her 12th class with any stream from any recognised board.
Graduates can also apply for this course, they need not to do foundation course they can direct apply for Intermediate course.

FOUNDATIONS COURSE :

Eligibility : Candidate must have completed his/her 10th and 12th class from any recognised board from any stream.

There will be four paper in foundation course :

Paper 1 : Fundamentals of Economics and Management
Paper 2 : Fundamentals of Accounting
Paper 3 : Fundamentals of Laws and Ethics
Paper 4 : Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics

INTERMEDIATE COURSE :

Eligibility : Candidate must have passed his Foundation course.

There are two groups in Intermediate course. You can choose which group you have to clear first. Papers in these two groups are :

Group 1 :

Paper 5 : Financial Accounting
Paper 6 : Laws, Ethics and Governance
Paper 7 : Direct Taxation
Paper 8 : Cost Accounting and Financial Management

Group 2 :

Paper 9 : Operations Management and information Systems
Paper 10 : Cost and Management Accountancy
Paper 11 : Indirect Taxation
Paper 12 : Company Accounts and Audit

FINAL COURSE :

Eligibility : Candidate must have complete atleast 6 months of practical training in specified areas.

Papers in Final Course :

There are two groups in final course, group 3 and group 4.

Group 3 :

Paper 13 : Corporate Laws and Compliance
Paper 14 : Advanced Financial Management
Paper 15 : Business Strategy and Strategic Cost Management
Paper 16 : Tax Management and Practice

Group 4 :

Paper 17 : Strategic Performance Management
Paper 18 : Corporate Financial reporting
Paper 19 : Cost and Management Audit
Paper 20 : Financial Analysis and Business Valuation

ICWAI ( The institute of cost and works accountants of India).
ICWAI course is minimum three year course offered by the institute of cost and works accountants of India that comprises of three stages namely:-
Foundation
Intermediate
Final.
The course is pursued by students who aim to become a cost management accountant.
Must passed 10th from recognised board or institute who have passed or appearing in 12th are eligible to apply must complete age of 17 years.
ICWAI:-
Foundation - minimum 8 months
Intermediate minimum 10 months
Final minimum 18 months.
These conducted two times in year June and December. Entrance exam.
