GATE can be attempted any number of times and the validity of GATE score card is valid for two years if you are attempting it in pre final year and its valid for one year otherwise

Validity of GATE Score :
The GATE Score card is valid for two year. If you want to appear
in the GATE exam then don't worry there are no limit for the
No. of attempt in the GATE exam. So you can appear in GATE exam

And you can appear for gate exam number of times.

But The Gate Score is Valid upto 2 yrs.

hii, friend you can give unlimeted attempts until you are astisfied with our marks keep giving, but improve every time, dont take it for fun, you can clear.

Gate score is valid for 2 years from announcement of Gate results....There is no mention in Gate brochure about restriction in number of attempts....

Be 3rd year student are eligible or not for gate in 2012 ????

There is no limit for Gate exam
There is no age limit too
Candidates of final year can apply for the exam.

* Validity of gate score exam is two years
* There is no limits for attempts in gate exam so you can attend as many times as you can
* The candidates should be graduate in B.E or B.Tech engineering from a recognized university.
* Final year candidates are allowed to write the gate exam
* There is no limits for age in gate exam. So, you can attend at any age.

Hi !!!

This is a question that generally arises in many student preparing for GATE.

Well The GATE score card is usually valid for 2 years but its not guaranteed always since it completely depends on organizing institution. For instance, the gate score card for the candidates who attempted GATE-2009 was valid only for 1 year and the exam was organized by IIT Roorkee.

GATE is conducted for determining the aptitude of the engineers . It is not a entrance exam but with this one can get into masters in Engineering in various universities where GATE score is recognised and for getting jobs in public sector units for which GATE is an essential qualification.

academic eligibility is required for appearing in the exam. They are
1. Bachelor degree in any engineering discipline
2. Masters degree holder in the field of science , mathematics, etc
3. There is no age restriction for appearing in the exam.
4. There is also no restriction in the number of attempts by the aspirant
the aspiring graduates can apply only in online .
For this year the last date for applying is 24th of october.
The exam is to be conducted on 29th of january.

Tips to Crack GATE:-

*Follow standard books, stress on understanding things than memorizing them.
*Solve objective type (especially numericals) questions as much as possible.
*No need to cover the entire syllabus.
*Keep preparing your personal notes as you cover topics.
*Do not practice questions in rough. You may need to see the solutions at the time of revision.
*Go through previous year papers (say last 10 years) to check your knowledge and note the distribution of different topics.
*Revision is one of the most important step of the preparation process (around 20 days before examination).
*Follow your notes during this time and solve time-bound question papers (preferrably last year papers).
*Take a chill-pill on the day before exam. Relax......

Candidates with following qualifications areeligible for GATE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/technology/pharmacy orMaster’s degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent or Qualifications equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE byIE(I), AME by ICE(I)). You can repeat this exam though GATE scorecard is valid for one year only.

now from 2011 the gate score is valid for only 1 year..jst bcz only B.TECH or BE final year OR passed students are allowed in gate exam..before 2011 3rd year students are also allowed...so..for that gate score has 2 year validity..but now scorecard is valid 4 only 1 year .and there is no any restrictions in attempt..

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.It is conducted by IIT'S for admission into MTech.Any student who hold a bachelor degree can write the exam.The students in the final year of the BTech are also eligible to write the GATE.There is no condition for number of attempts and age.The gate score is valid for 2 years.
