sorry, dear friends you are not eligible for IAS
the age criteria for IAS exam is 23 to 30 years. for SC/St candidate -23 to 35 years for OBC candidate -23 to 33 years but your age now 36 years and you are from sc category. so you are not eligible for IAS exam. thanks |

No, you cannot apply for IAS(Indian Administrative service) at the age of 36 years * candidates should have age limit within 21 to 30 years. * Candidates have relaxation for OBC candidates for 3 years. * Candidates have relaxation for SC/ST candidates for 5 years * Candidates should complete graduation from recognized university So, you not eligible for the IAS exam. As you are 36 year old you cannot attend for civil service examination Here is the age criterion for civil service examination General between 21 and 30 years Obc between 21 and 33 years SC/ST between 21 and 35 years |

dear friend ,
here i am mentioning some requirements to appear in the ias exam 1) candidate must be graduated from any recognized indian university. 2) age of the candidate must be belongs to 21 to 30 years . there is relaxation of three years for the candidates belongs to the sc/st category. means sc/st category candidates can attempt this exam at the age of 33 years. upper age limit to be appear in the ias exam for the sc/st category candidates is 33 years. sorry to say as you are of 36 years old , so its impossible to appear in the ias exam. for more information of the ias exam kindly visit the website www.upsc.gov.in thanks and best luck |

No!!! sir,you can apply for this civil service examination, conducted by UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION).
BECAUSE, the age limit for this examination is 21-30,there are 5&3 years of age relaxations are applicable for the SC\ST & OBC candidates respectively.i..e, 21-33 years for the OBC candidate, 21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates. for appear in this examination , you must have graduation degree from a recognized college. your graduation degree may in any stream. |

The exam for getting into IAS is conducted by the UPSC.And it is only after series of selection one is able to join as the IAS. Before getting into the process one need to be eligible for applying for the exam .The eligibility include academic and age eligibility.The eligibility are below 1.The aspirant need to have completed his bachelor degree in any stream .Final year graduate can also apply. 2.The age limit for applying for the exam is -30 for the general category -33 for OBC, -35 for SC/ST candidates 3.The number of attempts for the exam are -4 for general -7 for OBC -no restriction for SC/ST As you have crossed the upper limit you are not eligible |

According to the age eligibility criteria given by UPSC for IAS exam is that General and Other Backward Class people can give IAS exam between age 21 years to 30 years and the maximum attempts provided are 4 and 7 respectively while for SC/ST people this age limit has been given 5 years relaxation such that they can attempt for IAS exam till the age of 35 years.

No,You are not Eligible to appear for the I.A.S Examination.Because Maximum 35 years of age for SC/ST Category. Age limits of this examination :- 21 years to 30 years for Gen category. 21 years to 33 years for OBC category. 21 years to 35 years for SC/ST category. 21 years to 35 years for Ex-servicemen category. you have no chance to write the examination. Because of my family problem i wasted my two years of education, i am 17 years old and have passed my 10th standard. I am planning to start my education this year. My ambition is to become a weapon engineer, can you please tell me what i should study to achive my dream. And do i need to join the army for that? thank you. Michael. |

Age Limit i. A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. ii. The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below: a. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST. b. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes. c. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989. d. upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled during hostilities with foreign countries or in a disturbed area and consequently released. e. upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs / SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on August 1 of the year of examination and have been released: on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from August 1 of the year of examination) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service, or on invalidment. f. upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of ECOs / SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment (5 years Military Service) as on August 1 of the year of examination and whose assignment has been extended beyond 5 years. Such candidates will have to provide a certificate from the Ministry of Defence stating that they can apply for civil employment and they will be released on a notice of 3 months, upon selection, from the date of receipt of offer of appointment. g. upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates. |

IAS (INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE) this exam is conducted by the UPSC once in every year. Age limits is listed below by categories. Age criteria: The age limits is 21years to 30years for general candidates, 3years age relaxation for the OBC candidates and 5years age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates. So in any view you are not eligible to write IAS exam. |

General -----> 21-32 yrs Obc ---------> 21-35 yrs Sc /St --------> 21-37 yrs and you are sc category student (as mentioned) so you can go for it All the best for it! |
