Am I eligible for IAS Exam having given final year Exams of BHMS?
i hav given final year examination of b.h.m.s.,is am i eligible for ias exams.

Dear pal,
yes you are eligible for the indian administrative service exam conducted by the union public service commission provided you have satisfied the age eligibility . The eligibility required for the exam is bachelor degree from a recognised university. But final year aspirant can also apply for the exam. The minimum age for applying is 21. And the aspirant from general category can apply till 30 years of age. Relaxation is provided for the different category which includes 3 years for bc and mbc category, 5 years for sc and st aspirants. The selection procedure involves common aptitude exam, main exam and personnel interview. Aptitude exam is common for all which includes four papers. The main exam consist of 9 papers of which four are compulsory and the aspirant can choose their subjects as per availability. The optional papers that are available are botany, zoology, physics, animal husbandry, economics, statistics etc. Aspirant need to remember that one is considered of having attempted the exam though you were not able to clear the aptitude exam. |

You are in final year of B.H.M.S course , and you want to go for IAS exam. Then you can go for it.. Final year candidates can apply for IAS exam. Eligibility for IAS exam:- 1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade. 2.Final year candidates can also apply for IAS exam.. 3.Age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years, and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. 4.Candidate should be a citizen of India. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. So, go for it.. All the best. |

As you have given final year BHMS i.e. Bachelor degree in Homeopathy, you are eligible to apply for IAS exam.
IAS- Indian Administrative Service, to be an IAS officer one has to appear for the Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC every year for recruitment to the top post in the various department of Govt. of India. One should be an Indian National within the age of 21 to 30 years having either appear for final graduation degree course or passed from any stream from a recognised University is eligible to appear for Civil Service Exam. NO. You did not fulfill the eligibility criteria of the IAS since it clearly says that only bachelor degree holders can apply!! after you become a graduate, then only you can apply
Age limit for the exam: 21-30 years Number of times you can apply: Four (Seven attempts of OBCs and no limit for SCs /STs Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification! |

i am a final BHMS student now. i will be finishing my course in may 2015. am i eligible to write the civil service exam in 2014? if yes, what are all the requirements i should do? what are all the subjects in choice?
