Is there have any cutoff marks for the first English &general knowledge paper? What is it true that the next technical paper are checked only when you score sufficient marks in English & general knowledge paper ? kindly reply?

Very True...being an ST he should pray a lot for his selection @640 !! + Interview..I think he might have got 200 .so he would have created history by getting 840 in ESE !!

I think STs are selected at 250 or sth...he should have slept in the paper to get Rank 1 in ST..and an assured seat in Railways..

also can know marks of last oc candidate who got selected for ies 2011
