For IAS exam the number of attempts are different for various category candidates.
For General category - 4 attempts For OBC Category - 7 attempts For SC/ST Category - no limit in attempts Thus if you belong to General and OBC then carefully use your attempts. You should only apply when you are fully prepared otherwise you will waste your attempts. For SC/ST category candidates there is no such limit and they can appear till their age limit exceeds. Also make sure that you fulfill other eligibility criteria like educational qualification ,age and nationality. Graduates from a recognized university are eligible to apply and you must be an Indian citizen. Age must be between 21-30 years if you belong to General category. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST is available. Selection will be based on the marks in the Preliminary , Mains and Interview.
