can i get MHRD scholarship for m.arch (admission through GATE)if i am in general category?

MHRD Scholarship amount for M.Tech Stipend based on GATE score
It is the responsibility of the admitting institution to award MHRD scholarship...The gate performance of the candidate will be considered for admission...if the candidate is to be selected through interview for post graduate programmes,minimum 70 % weightage is given to gate performance and remaining weightage is given based on the interview..
minimum every gate qualified student shall get 8000/-per month

The fee structure for MTech programs in any college or university is nominal.

In IISC the fee for M Tech programs is 13,000 INR per annum.
The scholarship amount for MTech students is 8,000 INR per month.
The monthly mess charges (computed based on actuals each month) are at present approximately Rs.1200/- for vegetarian and Rs.1500/- for non-vegetarian boarders.

i am pursuing m.tech from vit university, vellore.. i had qualified in gate and secured 3000 rank.. but our university is not giving any scholarship to us.. what to do??

stiphned is generally issue for 24months but next you will receive for 22 months.

Ans :: No...The amount of MHRD Scholarship will not vary...It will remain same for every University...

Hi....! I am Subash, a GATE qualified candidate in 2009. I joined in a private college which is affiliated under JNTU and approved by AICTE. Till now I didn't get any stipend issued. Now that I completed my m-Tech. When I approach my college, they say like "College is under Inspection and so no stipend was issued yet". Can u please let me know whether the stipend was really sanctioned to the college or not, and Can you suggest any procedure how I can get the same.....?

9000per month you will get the schlorship award mhrd

mhrd gives 8000 as stipend to m.tech scholars who qualified GATE. Rs 8000 is distributed in all institutes. firstly fund is given to iits, nits, and iiits students and then other institutes subject to availability of the fund.

the minimum MHRD scholarship amount for M.Tech stipend based on GATE score is Rs. 8000 per month.

but it's vary from institution to institution. but you will get the minimum amount irrespective the institution.

it is also vary depending upon your the project. it may be very big amount if your project is good enough.

the scholarship is given for 24 months for your master degree.

personally i opted for gre and the candidates who opt for gre requires doesn't really require score of 60% in b.tech.but the candidates who have more than 60% high more chances for getting a good universities than the candidates who have percentage less than 60%.
it is also required to have minimum score of 60% from his 10th standard.
ms universities checks your score from your schoolings .
SO HOPE FOR THE BEST PREPARE FOR THE WORST.

sir, i have qualified gate in my second semister of m.tech this year(2012).can i apply for the scholarship now?

I am a student of Tezpur Central University, pursuing MTech. I am a GATE qualified student who is supposed receive Rs. 8000/- per month. But the thing with Tezpur University is that a student gets the scholarship amount after 8 months, and monthly thereafter. For instance, a students may get admitted into MTech programme in August. But he will get the scholarship amount of Rs. 64000 for 8 months (August to March) in April. Then on, he/she will get 8000 monthly for the remaining 4 months. This will repeat for the next year, with the exception that he/she will get the money only till April.
So, if anyone wants to get the scholarship money monthly, please make sure that the institute you apply in does not give the scholarship amount in chunks.
[But this year the University did not apply for AICTE approval, and AICTE scholarships and funds for projects are on hold.]

am gate stipend student (M.tech) in the batch of 2011 to 2013 , i get one year stipend Rs of 56000 39225 , 1st year i have a aerier , but i cleared all the paper's with first class degree, i ask my second year stipend to my college they said ones you have a aerier the remaining stipend will not give to you ,the stipend again return to the MHRD. they are stooped my second year stipend, so please tell me the stipend rules and regulation sir. can i get my remaining amounts ? please tell me the stipend rules

IF YOU JOINED THROUGH THE ANY YEAR GATE SCORE YOU WILL GET 8000 PER MONTH ANY WHERE IN INDIA BY MHRD. IT IS NOT MATTER OF IIT OR NIT OR IIIT OR CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OR STATE UNIVERSITY OR SOME PRIVATE COLLEGE OR DEEMED UNIVERSITY.

i am gate 2013 qualified student currently doing ME-II, my college(HOD) allocated me workload of 12 Hr/Week(as a full time staff not as teaching asst).
Now at the end of the sem he is refusing to send my jan, feb,mar month attendance of 2015 giving foolish excuses. Also he has not submitted the May, June 2014 attendance saying the term was over and i was not taking the practical load. That means i have/will not yet received 5 months stipend.
Is there any way to take any action against him or college?please help i am in much need of money right now.
