You should have completed your graduation or you should be a degree holder.

Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.


There is relaxation for candidate belonging to some category:
a) Age:-
SC/ST--- 5 years.
OBC--- 3 years.
Handicaped-- 10 years.

b) Number of attempts:-

General candidates: four attempts.
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.


Procdeure to get application form for IAS 2011:-

(a) Candidates may apply Online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in


(b) Candidates may also apply Offline in the Common Application Form , which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 30/-

Important Dates:-

a) Both online & Offline forms must reach by 21st March, 2011.

b) Exam will be on 12th June 2011.

IAS examination is conducted by upsc every year. upsc conducting this central board examination for various posts.
this exmiantion is conducted in three phases
they are:
1. prelimnary exam
2. main exam
3. personal interview
the minimum criteria for writing this exam is you should have completed your graduation from recognized university.and you should have completed your age of 21 years

IAS Exam Details:-

IAS:- Age limits :- 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs).

Educational Qualifications :- Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice).


No. of permissible attempts :-for genrel - 4 attempts
for OBCs - 7 attemps and no limit for SCs/STs

IAS 2011 Syllabus:-

Paper I - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian National Movement
Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.
Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.

Paper II - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)
English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).
Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.

The questions will be of multiple choice, objective type.

some tips for IAS prepration:-

you should 1. Read newspaper daily
2. read news magazines if possible
3. Make notes of your ncert books from class 6th to class 10th for
all subjects geo for class 11th and class 12th as well history of
class 11th atleast.
4.read GK books.
5.watching channels like discovery helps a lot in the long run.
try to understand things, and work hard is the only mantra for
success in IAS.

Then you have to appear for the exam.

Exam pattern:-

!) the first is a screening exam full of multiple choice.

2) if you get selected You can attend the mains

3) then you will be called for interview.

4)the marks of the main and interview are considered for the FINAL rank list.

5) those who are included in the FIRST 100 get IAS.

In pre exams we choose single subject and solve objective questions

In secondry we can choose 2 subjects and solve subjective questions

HERE IS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR IAS EXAM

the new syllabus for 2011 prelims ias is given below


The new syllabus will have two common papers with equal weightage (200 marks each), unlike the current system which gives more weightage to subject paper (300 marks) than the common general awareness paper (150 marks).

CSAT Syllabus

The first paper under the new syllabus will be more or less like the current general awareness paper, with additional issues such as climate change and biodiversity. It will will test civil services aspirants on current events of national and international importance, Indian history, Indian and world geography, Indian polity and governance, economic and social development and general science, besides environmental ecology, biodiversity and climate change that do not require subject specialization.

The second paper, being introduced by replacing the optional (subject) paper, will have aptitude, data interpretation and English language comprehension skills. The second paper comprises general comprehension; inter-personal skills, including communication skills; logical reasoning and analytical ability; decision making and problem solving; general mental ability; basic numbers and their relations (secondary level) and data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables and data sufficiency). The English language comprehension skills will also be of secondary level.

Part B - Main Examination - Optional Subjects
Paper-I One of the Indian Languages to be selected by the candidate from the 22 languages included in the VIIIth Schedule to the Constitution (Qualifying Paper) 300 Marks
Paper-II English (Qualifying Paper)
300 Marks
Paper-III Essay [in the medium you choose] 200 Marks
Papers IV & V General Studies (300 Marks for each paper) 600 Marks
Papers VI, VII, VIII & IX Any two subjects (each having 2 papers) to be selected from the prescribed optional subjects (300 marks for each paper) 1200 Marks
Total Marks for Written Examination 2000 Marks
Interview Test [in the medium you choose] 300 Marks
Grand Total 2300 Marks

Hi friend


to become a IAS officer, You need to appear for Civil services examination and to appear in this examination, you need a graduate degree from a recognised university.

Final Year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for UPSC Civil Services examination, But to appear in this examination, your age should between 21 to 30 years, The upper age relaxation is only applicable for SC, ST and OBC Candidates.

You can apply for this examination only 4 times and OBC candidates can apply for 7 times and No limits for SC, ST candidates. The UPSC conducts the examination 2 times in a year, the notification was published in the employment newspaper or in the official website of UPSC.

The examination are held in 2 stages, Firstly Preliminery exams and Main exam. You have to clear both the exam and then you are eligible for Final Interview.

If you are eligible, then you can fill the application form Online by visit the UPSC official website. So, Only Graduate candidates of any discipline are eligible to apply for Civil services examination, For complete details, please visit the UPSC official website -

IAS is one of the Civil service exam and it is one of the entrance exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).This exam is held every year.

IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.

India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.


Eligibility Criteria :-

The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.

Hello,

IAS(Indian Administrative Service) exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission).

* You should be the citizen of India
* You should get graduate in a recognized university
* Age limit must be 21-30 years.
* Relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates

The exam is of three types:

1. Preliminary exam

2. Main Exam

3. Interview

* The preliminary exam is about the latest news in all over the world. You must be fluent in english when you are communicating.

Dear,
I as exam is conducted by upsc once in a year. for becoming eligible for the exam, you must have done graduation in any field with minimum 50% marks. for the exam you will have to select subjects of your choice in which you want to give the exam. there are general knowledge questions also in ias exam, so you must keep yourself up to date.for the syllabus and reference book and previous years question papers you must check their official website

IAS this exam is conducted by UPSC. for appearing in this exam you must have to complete your graduation in any stream.
the age limit for this exam 21-30.5 years of relaxations are given to SC\ST candidates.

Hi dear,

IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.

India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.


Eligibility Criteria :-

The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.


Application forms will come out in the month of January.


Paper pattern has changed in IAS 2011 exam.

Paper Pattern for IAS 2011 exam :-

Unlike present,now there are two objective type papers carrying equal marks, in which
1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks
2) Optional paper carries 150 marks.

Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.
Eligibility criteria for IAS exam is..

1. Graduation in any stream from a recognize university college.
2. The age between 21 to 30 years for general category Age relaxation is provided for OBC SC/ST candidates.
3. No. of attempt 4times OBC 7times abs ST/SC no limit.



Preliminary Examination consists of Two Papers-

Paper I — General Studies 150 marks

Paper II — An Optional subject 300 marks.


So, If You Are Interested To Apply for IAS Exams,
then You Can Opt Any One Subjects -

Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science,
