Are sc/st candidates given exemption for age limit only or in the field of marks also?

I complet graduation in home science. and my age running 30. I want to sit this exam. please tell me details this exam. and can I sit this exam.

Yes, a relaxation of five years is given to the sc st candidates in the upsc exam.
The age limit for general category is 21-30 years.

For obc- between 21 to 33 years

For sc st- between 21 to 35 years.

No,there is age limitations for appearing in this Exam.There is also restrictions in number of attempts in this Exam.If you belong from the reserved category such as ST/ST/OBC then you will able to get the age Relaxation facility.

In order to appear in UPSC IAS/IPS/IFS Exam,you will need to fulfill these Eligibility criteria:-

Educational Qualification:-
>>You must be Graduation Pass out in any stream from Recognized university.
>>Your degree course should be of at least 3 years.
>>Your degree should be approved from the UGC/AICTE.

Age:-
>>In order to appear in this exam, your minimum age should be 21 years.
>>Your age should not be above 28 years.

Age Relaxation details:-

>>If you come under the SC/ST then you will get 5 years of age relaxations.
>>If you come under the OBC category then you will get 3 years of age relaxations.

Number of Attempts details:-

>>If you belong from the General category then you can appear only 4 times.
>>If you belong from the OBC category then you can appear only 7 times.

NOTE:- If you belong from the SC/ST category then there is no limitations for regarding attempts util you will fulfill the age criteria.

Exam Pattern:-

>>Preliminary Exam(CSAT).
>>Mains Exam.
>>Interview.

UPSC - Union Public Service Commission conducts various exam for various dept. under Central Govt. such as for NDA/CDS/SCRA/Civil Service Exam etc.

For NDA(National Defence Academy) - The age limit is from 16.5 to 19 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved candidate.

For CDS(Combined Defence Academy) -The age limit is within 19 to 25 years with no upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

For SCRA(Special Class Railway Apprentice) - The age limit is from 17 to 21 years with upper relaxation up to 5 years for SC reserved category candidate.

For Civil Service exam - The age limit is from 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years, i.e. the SC candidate can apply for Civil Service Exam up to the age of 35 years.

MY DATE OF BIRTH IS 26.06.1968 . I belong to ST candidate category. Can i apply for UPSC ADVTISMENT PUBLISHED IN FEBRUARY 2013.

Dear friend,

The eligibility criteria of the UPSC exams is that the candidate must be aged between 21-35 years on the date he/she is applying.

The relaxation for SC candidates is 5% in this exams.

So according to this calculation your criteria can be decided.
