I am not very sure the way and procedure to join this esteemed organization but I would like to tell the young generation out there that this is where you work as 007 James Bond Fame. You dont need to be known to work for your country.

If you talk about salary structure, a captain rank army officer earns from 40000rs to 60000rs as in hand salary. And you can become a captain in first 2 years of joining armed forces ( i am talking about Indian Army). Compare it with software development companies like TCS, INFosys, Wipro, they only pay a mere 3 lakhs package to their employees that's too on papers, in hand salary is very much low.

So Join Armed Forces, RAW, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force.

You can join RAW for different posts which are vacant depending on your qualification. You can join RAW if you are a graduate in any discipline. You should be between 18-25 years. You will be selected on the basis of the written examination which will be conducted. You should physically fit and fulfill certain requirements in terms of height, weight, chest etc. If you clear the written test, you need to attend the physical test and personal interview.

RAW is an independant body, it has the power to select candidates as they wish, sometime R & AW recruits there agents and officers from Army, IPS, IAS, IB, CBI, or sometimes directly from Universities (very rare case).

The whole tenure of a RAW agent is of nearly 2-5 years, after that they are allowed to back to there old service of weather IAS, IPS etc.

If you want to join RAW directly then I have two ideas strucking in mind. 1) RAW recruit directly through Staff Selection Commission Organize, which a exam called Deputy Field officers Under cabinet secretary,there you can appear. And we know cabinet secretary is also an IAS officer, as because cabinet secretary is the highest post of IAS, he is who handles PM's office.

Eligibility criteria

You must be graduate from valid university

Your age should be 20 to 27 years

Age relaxation as per government norms
SC/ST + 5 years
OBC + 3 years
PH + 10 years

You must be Indian.


If you do good work in this service you can get promotion and you can be transferred in raw agency.

You also be a raw agent.

RAW stands for Research and analysis wings.

It is the top most secret agency of India which tracks all the activities of enemy country, terrorist and other anti social activities.


Raw don’t conducts any recruitment exam directly.

Its reason may be that through recruitment spy of other country and terrorist can enter in raw.

It choose all the personnel and spy from the other department and agency of India like Army, Police, CISF, CRPF, Intelligence bureau, NCB, CBI and CID.

They choose quite patriot personnel according to their jobs background, their profile.

So friend instead of RAW you can choose army, Police, CISF, CRPF, Intelligence bureau etc.

You can apply for CISF, CBI, Intelligence bureau and paramilitary forces conducted by Staf Selection Commission.
