Sorry to say that you can not study in any IIT through any lateral entry exam.Because IITs have no such lateral entry schemes.But yes if you give the lateral entry exam then you can apply for other institutions directly in 2nd year.If you wish for any IIT,you have to appear in the IIT JEE exam and there is no other mean to get admission.

they provide a vey high class education and an excellent infrastructure so the placements in these colleges are also 100%
and you will also get a good package.the boys who got graduated from these colleges are now working in great companies like infosys ,microsoft,
dhruva etc and some are CEO of some companies.so getting education from these institutes is worthy having.

HI FRIEND,

you ain't eligible for admissions in IIT or in ANY NIT'S because no IIT and NIT's OFFER later entry.
but if you can give AIEEE AND IIT exams after your diploma or final year of diploma .

lateral entry is possible in aieee only not in iit but latereal entry test is conducted by the state gov. not on the india level every state conduct the test in june july and in iit there is no lateral entry process but diploma holder can take part in the entrance of the iit bcaz diploma is equivalent to 12

Diploma engineers having 60% aggregate including all semesters are well eligible to appeaer for Iboth IITJEE and AIEEE, but there are not allowed to take admissin\on in 2nd year of B.Tech

IIT's
NIT's
Universities of National Importance (For example:- DCE)
Some Deemed Universities (For example:- BITS)

They all doesn't have lateral entry scheme. HRD Ministry and Institutes Authorities itself has restricted it. Various time Proposals are made to HRD Mnistry but was rejected on the ground that it will effect the Quality and Brand of such institutes.

So, even if a diploma hgolder is taking admission he/she will be provided admission into first year of B.Tech.

My friend diploma students are not eligible for admission through AIEEE entrance exam or in Indian Institute of Technology. The AIEEE entrance exam is only conducted for candidates who have completed 12th with PCM.


There is no provision that would allow diploma students to appear for the AIEEE exam. Same goes the story for Indian Institute of Technology. The IIT also offer admission through entrance exam only that rules out possibility of diploma students applying for admission in IIT.


So you can not seek admission in either through AIEEE or in IIT. What you can do is to seek admission through lateral entry scheme. The lateral entry scheme is only option for the diploma candidates.


There is a entrance exam called Lateral Entry Engineering Test which is specifically for diploma students to seek admission in Engineering colleges through lateral entry scheme. The lateral entry scheme actually allows diploma candidate to take admission in the second year of B.Tech course.


Most Engineering colleges reserve some seats for the diploma students that can be grabbed through Lateral Entry Engineering Test. However you must understand that not all colleges accept candidates through lateral entry. Some candidates have their own entrance exam to offer admission to the candidates.

I am Sanyukta.i am passing diploma in 2013 With cse . can i Apply form for the examination of jee iit .

There is no scheme for lateral entry in IIT or AIEEE or universities of national importance.
So if you want B.Tech degree from IIT ,NIT you can give the entrance exam for IIT jee & AIEEE and get high score with high rank. You can apply for these when you complete your final year of diploma.you require minimum 60% each semester for IIT JEE.
Admission is taken in first year itself even for diploma holders to maIntain brand and importance of these colleges.
Though you can try for many other colleges that are good enough and offer a lateral entry.

But i thing its worth the brand you get IIT & NIT.
Lastly you need to decide yourself what you want.
