Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is conducted every year in Assam, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. From your question it is not clear to you that from which state you belong.

This is compulsory for private school also. If any private school appoint any teacher without TET pass then school’s affiliations from any board will be canceled. The old teachers of Govt. and private school do not need to pass TET exam for continue their job. They will be considered as TET pass candidate if they change their school.

TET Examination in Assam will start in September 2011 , but in other states it was over in June. So try for it next year.

Generally TET examination consists of three papers these are Paper-1, Paper-2 and Paper-3.
Minimum 50% aggregate of a candidate is eligible.

West Bengal TET - Teacher's Eligibility Test is introduced by West Bengal SSC for recruitments of Teachers in Primary, Secondary and Higher secondary school teachers.

Candidates scoring above 60% marks in TET will be held passed.

Syllabus

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examination shall be held in 100 marks consisting of the following five (5) Sections;

(a) Section I – Child Development – 20 Marks

(b) Section II – Language I – 20 Marks

(c) Section III – Language II – 20 Marks

(d) Section IV – Mathematics – 20 Marks

(e) Section V – Environmental Science – 20 Marks

First of all i would like to give you little detail about TET exam and its eligibility criteria that you must poses . so here are the details :-

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

-

10 + 2 or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
or
4 years Bachelor of Elementory Education (B.EI.Ed)
or
1 year bachelore of Education (B.Ed).

Syllabus for WBTET:

There will be 5 subjects / Sections in Paper I.
Each section / subject will have 20 objective multiple choice type questions carrying one mark each.

1. Child development and pedagogy.
2. Language I (the medium of instruction).
3. Language II (chosen from a list other than language I).
4. Mathematics.
5. Environmental studies.

Well earlier it was 30 objective question and the full marks was 150 , but now the marks is 20 for each subject and time allotment is 1 ½ hours, i.e. 90 minutes.

I have forgotten to darken the circles meant for language I and II in OMR answersheet in westbengalssc Assistant Teacher exam.Will my OMR answer sheet be evaluated or rejected? Please let me know.My Score is 68.33% as per answer declared by ssc.

A general student have to score minimum 60% that is 54 marks and for SC/ST/OBC/PH have to score 55% (that is 49.5 marks) for the section B.
