My Daughter’s date of birth is 11.05.2005. She is now studying in 5th Standard in CBSE at Perambur Chennai.
I wish to change her to a different school in the same CBSE since I am shifting my residence. The new school I wish to join my daughter refuses to give admission , since they say there will be a Two months difference at the time of 10th Exam, and that my daughter will have to study 10 standard all over again .
I wish to have clarification whether I can continue my daughter in the same standard and will she be eligible for writing 10th exam.
What is the age limit for 10th exam and LKG admission.

so don't worry and waste your child 1 year which is valuable in making him to study the 5th standard twice.
make him to go for 6th standard after the 5th standard

Generally age permitted for 10th exam is 15yrs but you can take permission from respective board to appear exam.

Hello sir, my daughter will be finishing 14 years 3 months when she attends case x exams.

There is no any notification on upper or minimum age limit to appear for 10th board examination by CBSE or ICSE board.

The age limit is decided by the Directorates of State Education Board, so to get the age limit to appear for examination you have to visit the office of education board or in the school.

The age limit varies with different state.
