To apply you have to complete B.E or B.tech from any recognized institute with Telecommunication , Electronics etc......The lower limit of age for JTO is 21 years .
The notification of the test will be published on February and BSNL conducts the test on may/april.

Eligibility for BSNL JTO exam - The candidates should have completed Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in civil,electrical, telecommunications, electronics, radio, computer or IT from a recognized engineering college with at least 60%.
Candidates who are in their final year can also apply for the written test.

How to apply - Application should be sent to the CGM’s of respective Telecom circles. An All India competitive written exam will be held. Selected candidates will be called for Interviews.

The 2008 and 2009 JTO Notifications were released in the month of February. However,the 2010 notification is still to come. You can check the BSNL official website: www.bsnl.co.in/ for latest updates.

Eligibility for BSNL JTO exam - The candidates should have completed Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in civil,electrical, telecommunications, electronics, radio, computer or IT from a recognized engineering college.
Candidates who are in their final year can also apply for the written test provided that the said educational qualifications will be attained by the end of the year in which the notification was released (or by that date as decided by the management).

BSNL JTO - Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Junior Telecom Officers

Every year the notification for JTO exam (junior telecom officer) for BSNL is relaeased in febraury.This year the exam is already over.
So for 2012 , you can expect it in the month of febraury.

Age eligibility:
You must be over 21 years of age and be less than 30 years.
Relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

The total vacancies under JTO will be divided into

1. JTO Telecom

Eligibilty:
Engineering degree in any of the following streams Electronics, Telecommunications, Radio, Computers, Electrical or Information Technology.

2.JTO Civil

Eligibilty:
a Civil Engineering degree.

3. JTO Electrical

Eligibilty:
an Electrical Engineering/Technology degree.

The exam will be held in the month of April/May . Selected candidates will be called for Interviews.

Sorry to say but you can't apply for BSNL JTO while studying for B.tech.

You have to give the Exam in order to apply for BSNL JTO.

JTO exam conducted by BSNL was not held in 2011.But hope that it will held in 2012 during second week of 2012.

The eligibility criteria is given below

In order to attend the JTO exam a candidate must passed B.E / B.Tech in any of discipline of Telecommunication / Radio / Electronics / Computer / Electrical


The upper age limit for the exam is 30 years. The upper age limit is relaxable in the following cases.

BSNL employees – up to 5 years
Government employees – up to 5 years

BSNL JTO exam is divided into three parts :
