Am a third year student doing my b.tech it(2009-2013) . after completing ssc or upsc exam , in what all depts of govt can we get in. For joining cbi should we clear both ssc and upsc or any 1 is enough?.What is the difference between upsc and ssc exams .What is the eligibilty to write those two exams . How do we get notifications about these exam . Please guide me

CBI recruits subinspectors through staff selection commision which publishes recruitment notice in employment news and all daily newspapers. police inspectors/sub inspectors can approach the local CBI supritendent generally located in the capital of the state.

The Central Bureau Investigation(CBI),the base of administrative branch of India, provides the information relating to corruption in Central Government departments and Central Public Sector Undertakings which is directly or indirectly devoted for the Investigation, Anti Corruption, Economic Offences, Special Crimes.

Eligibility for appearing CBI exam :-
1) Age :-
Your's age must lie between :-
(a) 20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI
(b) 18 to 27 years for inspectors of CE/IT & Div. Acctts/Auditors/UDCs, etc.,
(c) 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs on the first day of the August of the year of Examination.
The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of SC,ST,OBC.

2) Educational Qualification :-
You should have a degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

Eligibility for appearing CBI exam :-

You will have to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam conducted by SSC for graduates.

Eligibility: Age: 20 - 27 years
relaxation - 5 years - SC/ST
3 years - OBC.

Height: 165 cms
Chest: 76 cms. with expansion

The examination is of two papers.

1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmatic

The preliminary exam is followed by the Main exam.

Main exam :

English language, Comprehension, Communication skill and writing ability ,Arithmetic and
General studies.

Check Employement Newspaperfor notifications.



Also CBI conducts an exam for sub-inspector.

Eligibility : bachelor's degree from a recognized university
age : not more than 25 years.

Two Sections : objective theory paper
interview session.

what can marine engg do to become cbi?

Yes you are elligible for the Merchant Navy course .After completing your graduation in mechanical engineering you need to get the certificate course from any recognised institute and then you can apply to the concerned companies ,There are good institution in India choosing whci you can get your training in the institute like AMET ,TS CHANAKYA .you need to apply to these college to get your certificate .These college have placements also.You should have minimum of 50 % in your graduation degree to apply to these course.
