The next IAS Exam will be in May 2011. Notification appear in the month of December in Employment news every year. Do check for the same.

Hi,
Forms for IAS Examination are made available only in all HPO's and certain post offices as mentioned in the notification that appears in the Employment news, especially december month issue. you need to send the Application form to the UPSC office addressed to Delhi. The address will be printed in the application form. So no need to worry regarding posting the form.

Normally, the date of the prilims exams will be in the month of may. On clearing prilims, the main exam will happen in the month of october. You can check the following link for All Updates in regard to UPSC CSE Examination: http://www.onestopias.com.

Sorry. You are too late to query about the IAS Examination 2010. Because the Priliminary CSE Examination is over by May this year. So you can better opt for 2011 Exam. Keep checking the Employment News from now itself. The notifcation normally appears in the month of December every year. So Do watch Employment news carefully in the month of december.

Sorry. you can not appear for the IAS Examination before completing the course. So do complete your course with good pass percentage and apply for UPSC CSE Examination to become an IAS.

Very Sorry. You are obviously not eligible to appear for the UPSC IAS Examination if you are a general category candidate as you crossed the age limit. If you are a OBC(Non-creamy), SC/ST candidate,then you have afair chance considering relaxation.

Yes. You can appear if you hold a bachleor degree. No, Not at all. There is no such preference that the applicant must be an Engineering graduate. The main consideration to appear for UPSC CSE Examination is that, the applicant must hold a graduate degree. No specific specialisations required. Even you can have a degree through correspondance. No issues.

last date of reciept of the application forms---01.02.2010
date of prelims. exam--23.05.2010

the notification has already appeared in the employement newspapers dated 02.01.2010,so refer that for more
information regarding availibilty of forms,places and number of seats.

The application form for the next IAS examination is not available right now. Also till now there is no notification from UPSC about the next exam as the last UPSC is already progressing. The mains exam is not yet finished.
The application forms for the next IAS exam would probably be available in DEC or after.
You should start checking from December on the official website of UPSC www.upsc.gov.in
The notification about the exam is published in all the national dailies and in the Employment news.

For IAs exam 2011 you need to take the application from the designated head post office of yor district after the announcement of notification
