my sister got 99 percentile in cat 2012 , and she got placed in microsoftas a fresher .please suggest us whether it is better to go for mba in iim r else better to go for mba after getting 2 r 3 years of work exp
please suggest us...............

To get selected in IIMs you must have scored 98 above marks in CAT.
If you have scored 99 percentile marks, you are the most eligible to get selected in IIM A.

Actually i have 63% in 10th and 63% in 12th N my graduation is continue but i m dam sure that ill get 50 to 55 in graduation dhow i got AT CT in S.y.Bcom n i know that ill top in cat by 99.99 so can i get accepting a call from IIM..... Please give me the answer of my this question.. Thank You

I am an engineering student with a bad academics so far
just got 70% in 10th ,, 55% in 12th and around 65% in current graduation
I have given Cat 2011
and have secured 78.8 percentile
out of which sectional marks were 90 percentile in english and 60 percentile in quant
what are the possibilities of me getting an esteemed institute if i hit a try again in 2012 for cat
the chances for IIM-A are nil or is there any hope.... :( :(
should i give it or take the colleges that i get this very year???

You might have known that IIM-Ahmedabad is the Best IIM institute in india and it ranks 8th in the world,to get admission into such a top institute is not an easy thing.you should get above 99% in CAT exam in order to get a call letter.even though after getting a call letter,your academics and communication skills shall be considered.

got 84% in both 10th and 12th. Will have CPI around 7 after i graduate from IISER. Cracked and got 5000 rank in IIT-JEE in 2008. So do i have a chance in IIM A or C ?..i'm sure i'll manage to get 98 percentile in cat tho.

hi dude the answer for this question is very simple dude don`t worry.... call letter means nothing but a letter in which you have all the details like date of joining etc.... when you attend for an interview for a job if they are satisfied wit your knowledge and want to keep you in there company then they will send you a letter named CALL LETTER which conforms that you got job in that company .

what happened to your cousin brother? did he get admission in any of the iims and what was his 10th percentage?

With your marks its difficult to get calls from IIMs. However, you should definately go for CAT, as there are many colleges who takes candidates based on CAT Score.
Also preparation for CAT would also make you prepared for other entrances exams.

In order to get call from IIM A you need to have 99.5 + percentile. with good academic background.

Sir, i have got 61.4% in CBSE 10th and 57.4% in Jharkhand (State Board) 12th and 75% in B.Com (Accounts hons). So, if i get 99 in CAT, can i expect a call from IIM-A or other IIMS ?

HI

IIM A is the top MBA institute in India.
It has the best infrastructure, best faculty and best placement as well
So the competition among student to get this college is very high.
Since the seats are limited and students appearing is very large.

you need to have a percentile of atleast 99.8+ to get a call from IIM A or IIM B.

You need to have good marks in 10th, 12th and graduation and also do well in GD PI to get selection.

----- fact is I got call letter from iim ahemadabaad and I have 73percentile in cat.... I will post scanned copies of my lttr very soon .

For IIM-A eligibility the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. In case of the candidates belonging to SC,ST it is relaxed to 45%.
