for getting a call from iim-a one need to score what percentage??? i knw it's 99+ percentile but i want an idea of percentage

Being getting intro the IIMs is a great job but it depends a lot on the percentile of the CAT exam. If you can get more than 99 percentile,then you can have the chance to go to the IIM ahmedabad.

You have scored a very good percentage in CAT 99+. I hope defenitly you will be selected in IIM.

The CAT is written by 200,000+ students every year. Out of these, only 2,000 students make it to one IIM or the other. Only 15,000 students make it to a Tier - 1 b-school.

For getting a call from IIM, Ahmedabad you need to score more than 99.3 percentile overall.

The sectional cut off in CAT exam should be as follows:
DI/DS - 98.72 percentile
Quant - 79.42 percentile
Verbal - 98.75 percentile

In terms of marks you need to score the foolowing marks for expectying a call from
IIM-A:
DI - 22
quant - 16
verbal - 35

IIM-A is a very excelent management college so you must be at top to get admitted there you must have atleast 97-99% to get there but it also depends on the trade you choose

for iim your percentile should range from 97-99....

Its totaly depend of the current year student rate or the cut off marks
but if u score 99+ percentile it has a chance to get admission in IIM- A.

As per my current knowledge, IIM A mostly calls people for Groud Discussion and Personal Interview if they have a good profile and excellent Cat marks (should be greater than 99%ile and 95%ile+ in all sections).

My Cousin brother had 99.76%ile and still he did not get call from IIM A because his marks in 12th and B.Tech were a little low (72% in 12 and 67% in B.Tech), plus he did not have any work experience.

is different.

The CAT score matters but from last two years, the call letter
from every IIM is sent only to those candidates who qualify on
a different merit list.

The merit list after the CAT results is made on the basis of
following:
10th examination percentage
12th examination percentage
Graduation overall percentage
CAT examination score

The overall list so prepared is the basis for sending call letters.
So, to get into the IIM-A you must have a very good academic
record and if you don't have such record then even after getting
99.99 percentile in CAT will not make sure that you will get admission
in IIM-A.

If you want to take admission in IIMs than you have to score above 98 percentile in CAT Examination.

of course no.
if you get around 97% than only hope that out of 9 any 1 or 2 may give you cal.
but for IIM-A and B score 99%tile.

In CAT exam calculate only Percentile,not a percentage.

you must be scored 99 percentile above. in that time you receive a call from IIMA.

Now,IIMA is top 8th rank in world best management schools.

according to my knowledge you have to score above 97% to gate a call from IIM - A.Because it is one of the top most MBS institution's of India and *th in the world .

Yes you are correct..it's more than 99%

Getting the IIMs is not an ordinary thing you know ,
only thing is that it depends on the highest score secure by the best one of tyhe exam.
then accordingily your percentrage will be calculated..
you can have the chance to go to the IIM ahmedabad.
And any of the IIM also

Yes, u r definitely eligible for IIM-A.Dont get embarassed that u failed.Even Edison failed in his school but then went on and invented bulb.U r the future of India and India expect a special thing like Edison from u.So go on and start innovating from today.Good Luck !!
