It is a good thing that youngsters such as yourself want to join the IAF and serve the nation. I'd be most happy to provide you the details regarding the same. As you are a student of class 12 then you are eligible to join the Indian Air force by giving the NDA(National Defence Academy) Exams. Details as under: *The NDA reserves 66 seats for IAF aspirants. *The NDA exam is held twice a year- NDA-I is conducted in April. NDA-II is conducted in October. Eligibility: 1.Age Limit: Between 16.5 years and 19 years You must be Born Between 2nd Jan to 1st Jul for Dec Course and 2nd Jul to 1st Jan for Jul Course. 2.Physical Standards: Height: *Minimum Acceptable height is 157.6 cms. 3.Educational Qualification: You must be studying in class 12 or have passed the same of 10+2 System of Education or Equivalent with Physics and Maths as your subjects for Air Force. 4.Marital Status: You must be Un-Married ALL THE BEST. |

To become a pilot after 12th NDA is the best exam for you this exam is conducted by UPSC. Eligibility Criteria Candidate must be Indian candidate should be completed 12th with subject maths and physics age of the candidate is 16.5 to 19 year candidate must be unmarried only male candidate are eligible for this exam Important date NDA II: Date of notification;04/05/2013 Last date of receiving application:03/06/2013 Date of examination:11/08/2013 |

you can join Air force by giving NDA exam if you clear that then you have to fill your choice weather you have go to which wing if you choose air force then you have to appear in a test called PABT if you clear then you are eligible for pilot |

After 12th standard you want join in indian airforce then you have to appear an exam called NDA(National Defence Academy). This exam is every year two times conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Here in NDA exam 2other wings also commenced at a time every year then total three wings in NDA exam. Differant types of wings in NDA:- Indian airforce, Indian navy, Indian army. The requirements and eligibility details to apply this exam is given below. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete 12th standard from an aggregate board. To apply airforce or navy you must have complete your 12th standard with PCM subjects and here there is no such percentage restrictions to apply this exam. The age limits are 16.5 years to 19 years. You must be a citizen of india and physically fit. Only unmarried male candidates can only eligible for this exam i.e girls are not eligible. Career in Indian Air Force as a Pilot is very challenging and a rewarding one too. After selection, one is trained either as a Fighter Pilot, or a Helicopter Pilot, or a Transport Pilot and are a part of various peace and wartime missions.
As a graduate, you can enter into the Flying branch of Air Force through the Air Force Academy. It is one of the most prestigious training establishments of the Indian Air Force. Indian Air Force Pilot Exams Eligibility Criteria Age Limit: 19 to 23 years on the 1st of the month of commencement of the course. Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Physics/Maths) 3 years or B.E. 4 years or B.Sc. (General) 3 years with Physics and Maths. The candidate should not have failed INS-B/PAB Test earlier. Should not have been suspended in Flying Training earlier. Physical Eligibility For Male (a) Height: 162.5 cms (b) Leg Length: Not less than 99 cms and not more than 128 cms, (c) Chest: fully expanded chest should not be less than 82 cms with 5 cms expansion. Physical Eligibility For Female (a) Height: 162.5 cms (b) Leg Length: Between 99 cms and 120 cms. The candidates who wear glasses habitually or are colour/night blind are not eligible and hence need not apply. Indian Air Force Pilot Exams Pattern Tests consist of: Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Interview. You will first be tested in English. Those who qualify in English will be tested in Mathematics and Physics. After having successfully cleared this step, you will be required to undergo PFT consisting of 1.6 Km run to be completed in a maximum of eight minutes. Candidates who complete the PFT in 7 min 30 sec or less will be awarded additional marks. You are advised to come prepared with shorts and PT shoes for the test. Candidates who qualify in PFT will be interviewed. Candidates recommended in the interview will only be considered for medical exam. After you have successfully cleared this step, candidates will be sent for a medical examination, which shall be conducted by a Medical Officer of the Armed Forces. If a candidate has successfully cleared the examination, he will be requested for to report to the Airmen Selection Center for enrollment. After the enrollment formalities, he will be routed to Airmen Training School, Sambra (Belgaum) for 26 weeks of Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT). Towards the end of this basic combatant training, candidates will undergo a Trade Aptitude Test (TAT). After that he will send to Dehradun, Varanasi and Mysore. At the Air Force Selection Boards, the candidate will undergo a number of psychological tests, an interview and group activities, which are collectively called the Officer Like Qualities (OLQ) Tests. The Group Tests are interactive indoor and outdoor tests. The Interview involves a personal conversation with the Interviewing Officer. The test schedule is - Day 1 INS-B/PABT* Day 2 Psychological Test Day 3 Group Tests Day 4 Group Tests Day 5 Interview Day 6 Conference Note- INS-B: Instrument Comprehension - B Tests, PABT: Pilot Aptitude Battery Tests After the candidate is selected by the Selection Board, he would be sent to the Air Force Central Medical Establishment, New Delhi or the Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bangalore for a thorough medical examination. After that he will be sent for 72 weeks training at Air Force Academy. Indian Air Force Pilot Exams Tentative Dates IAF exam is generally held in the month of January and July. Indian Air Force Pilot Exams Application Forms The procedure for sending your application is fairly simple. The first stage is to watch out for the advertisement inviting applications in the leading newspapers and the Employment News. After you spot the relevant ad, you send your application in the format mentioned in the advertisement, before the last date of receiving of application.
