Re: What is the minimum qualification required and eligibility criteria to appear for IAS/IPS examination?
Minimum qualification required to appear in IAS or IPS examination conducted by UPSC is graduation in any discipline from a recognized institution.the student who studied three years
12th they are eligible for IAS or IPS examination. PUC is the course which is for two years duration after 12th. so i think this is not equivalent to graduation. this is an intermediate course before university. so after PUC you will not be eligible for IAS or IPS.the other eligibility criterion for IAS and IPS is your age should be in between 21 to 30 if you belongs to general category. for reserved candidate there are relaxation in age as per government rules. you must be Indian resident. for more eligibility criterion and other details about IAS and IPS examination visit the website http://www.upsc.gov.inthe notification will be also publish in this website and in leading newspaper. |
