as far as drud addicts r concerned...so i would say dat by going there v can easily find out.
none of the college favours drug addiction and other abuse habits in dis world.
my som of the frnds studied in dis prestigious college and now most of dem r in abroad n som r working in top notch companies.
i donno y people create a mess out of it....if their college is nt doing wonders den y to blame any other college. peep inside ur own n ur college. u might be a dru addict but its a common mentality to blame others.

Hi.. VIT is certainly a good college and general feedback from students is good.

The only disadvantage (to girl students) is that VIT has discriminatory policies against girls as restrictions on what to wear, very strict timings for hostels, not leaving campus etc. There are no such rules for the boys or they are not enforced even if existing. Such gender discrimination may be illegal in india .. but VIT practices these policies. They may grow out of these with time and make it a fair environment for all students like a mature environment such as IIT chennai etc.

VIT is the oldest and reputed college in india it conducts its own exam to intake new students by exam "VIT-EEE" for engineering and its has other courses too

I am a passout from vit,vellore and can clear ur doubts regarding vit.I passed out in 2010 and am working in TCS(as most of the guys here get placed in a software companies only)...Well vit may be a good and bad place for u depending upon what are ur expectations from an Engineering clg...Well as it turns out to be that placement is invariably the criteria that students first look at for admissions I must confess that the placements at VIT are average as most of the guys are placed in software companies like tcs,cts,infosys,ibn,accenture,ibm,igate,patni,bank of america(avg package 3-3.5lpa) irrespective of their branch.This year itself u must have heard that 1820 students got placed in CTS.Well if u r just worrying wether u ll get placed or not i think u need not worry coz VIT has a track record of 100% placements.But if u r looking for a placement in ur core company then i doubt The reason is not that many good companies do not turn up here...Its because VIT has a lot of crowd...And crowd is the word that first comes to ur mind when u think of VIT...Well the strengh of ECE and CSE bramches here is more that 1000 nw which is well above the strength of many Engineering clgs in india.And this is one fact the management here is not looking into.Coz its difficult to maintain a good quality with these number of students.As far as the ranking in INDIA TODAY is concerned pls do not look at it becoz it does not make sense top place a clg like VIT above one of the iits...I mean there are number of NITS itself that are far better than VIT.So pls do not put that as one of ur criteria when u come here for admission.Well now talking about the faculty its bound to detoriate coz its not possible to get good faculties to the huge number of batches that are run here.Well there are only a handful of professors here and the most of the faculties here are Associate lecturers.The plus point here is its good library..one of the finest i have ever seen.The swimming pool and the International GYM(which is 2000Rs per semmester)..The free gym is junk and there is a lot of crowd as u can expect in VIT.Infrastructre is really good...To clear any of ur doubts personally pls mail me at [email protected]

I am doing my MS in VIT. It is very good college do to Engineering,you will get good exposure and Hands on practice and good placement.VIT created a world record in placements by placing 2683 students in cognizant. You are coming here to study just concentrate on that you will good opportunities

I did my M.Tech CSE 9 years ago. VIT is a good Institution. It has rich facilities in terms of library,labs,journals and of course lots of conferences. I think there is no difference if you study in IIT's or VIT's in terms of facilities. If we utilize them properly we can compete with any guy from Best colleges.

Only thing is i saw when i studied is there is not much flexibility to choose course curriculum. I think now it should have been improved.

Placments were good in this colleges. I was placed into honeywell R&D[Which is rare opportunity and ofcourse due to my interest] from the same college.

Finally its all depends upon the student to grow in VIT as it facilitates at best possible level.

As you can see VIT university is one of the reputable and deemed university in india. It is mainly for Engineering B.Tech, M.Tech and PHD.
And yes it is good for Ph D, here the integrated Ph D program consist of flexible course work, an internship type laboratory training, research project to demonstrate attainment of a high degree of scientific ability followed by advanced research leading to Ph D thesis on a specific topic.

Dear friend,

VIT is one of the top private university in india and the fee structure is also less than any other private university. Believe me, for MTech in CSE its too good, placement is also very good for them.
Faculties are very cooperative. And yes accomodation is there outside the university but i will say you go for hostel which is more safe.
Hostel charges depends on the type of room you take it can be AC or NON-AC, single, double, four or six bedded

Thats a really controversial topic and if you see the internet is filled with all kinds of praises as well as abuses on VIT college.

Dont know why people consider this college as bad but I can see this college is quite good.

So of the allegations on VIT are(Might be fake too)

1)They paid few magazines to rank their college in top 10 or top 20 best engineering college in Indai
2) They are also accused of admitting students on the basis of money.
3) Their placements are fake and dont provide good job opportunities
4) inappropriate fee structure

I would say that there is no Proof on all the above allegations on the colllege. I am no VIT student but according to me its a pretty good college and there are really good students who have passed out of this college

and about the drug addicts. There is not even 1 college in India or in the world where there are no drug addicts or smokers or drunkers. So thats natural to see in all kinda colleges

hey i am a medical student.. i am quite worrid for my carreer..i want to pursue foh biotechnology frm vit but my frbds told me there is no scope for biotechnology in india.. and for that i need to pursue for abroad..are the placements by vit in biotechnology field good???? Should i step forward for it???

VIT is a very good place. You get a lot of exposure. you will find all types of people here and learn so many life lessons. I would say it totally depends on what u make out of ur life here. It has lazy teachers too who are favored by lazy students for classes and projects. U have very serious, strict and good teachers too. So as u hav the freedom to choose teachers, students and subjects ( through FFCS) it totally depends on what you make of your life. For me VIT was a very good experience for my btech. I made so many friends for life and excelled in academics too. As far as placements r concerned yes like iit or nit nobody gives u jobs for the tag. All the opportunity is provided and you have to fight it out to grab the best offer and company. But on the brighter side almost all students are offered a job in sum IT company and once again its upto u to survive in it or get kicked out later.`For all those students who r serious about job and want to earn its a good college bec some job is assured even if its not ur cup of tea.

i have done b.tech from vit university (eee) electrical and electronic ...as i know this is neithter good nor bad university...but now vit is nothing but business for management ...

it is not best university ...if u will go there then u will understand the standard of vit univesity...

i recently realized that i burned 5 lakhs in my life by joining in VIT university,vellore . i really hate VIT. i had a very worst expeirence in placements at VIT. i realized now that i could have spend this amount in any coaching centre out side for getting placed. what ever it may be my time and career both got ruined in VIT which are returnable. my life really gone with the wind.

Well as every colleges in any country, vits has some pro and cons.
its too damn awesome college..that you will have to agree. It has good placement record nice faculties, beautiful campus and an excellent examination system.
But ya.. it is damn costly and money is like everything to them.
They won't even reply your email or address your queries over phone untill you chip in 10,000 and go for counselling.
And they won't tolerate even a small mistake. I knew a guy of mca batch who was told to go home just because he was smoking near his hostel and a faculty member saw him.
After checking his bag they found 2 cigrt packets and so he was told to smoke at his home forever.
I mean i do smoke too. and smoking near hostel is wrong. no doubt but suspending the student would be a fine thing.Rustigating Him!!!! I mean hello are you faculty member all perfect??? Shouldn't you give a chance to him..
so all said, Vit is a good college and good place to study. But when comes to discipline, they go gaga and stop making all sences.(assholes)

Yes. But every college has there own advantages and disadvantages. VIT is a deemed university. So he value of its degree is a little bit lower than the government level institutes. About drug addicts, you have to keep yourselves away from such things.

Vit has best placements .some of the branch are really good like cs , it ,ece,me . you have to visit vit official website for placement record and contact to 4th year student of vit through facebook and concern with them .they will give you complete scenario of placements. After iits and Bits vit is best option for engineering student.and if u get seat there then you are Lucky.and it is fake news about drug addiction. Collage rules are strict.

Really after studying all the reviews i feel that VIT is the best college of not only india but also in entire globe.All IITs and NITs are useless when compared to VIT.In fact all top students who get selected in the JEE should join VIT and not IITs.I have no words to express my views on the subject.
