Vellore Institute of technology is one of the top most technical institutes in India. VIT ranks amongst the top 20 technical institute of India. VIT is a private Co educational Technical University. VIT was established in the year 1984 by G. Viswanathan, who is now its chancellor. He established this university to contribute in the rapid progress and development of India along with his state. So far, VIT has done far beyond what he dreamt.
Campus:
The campus of VIT is situated in Katpadi, Vellore. Vellore is situated in the state of Tamil Nadu. The campus is divided in to two parts because the Chennai Bangalore train lines goes through it. The campus is wonderfully designed with a lot of free space and greenery. The campus is full of beautifully designed buildings and wonderful view of green tress and small herbs.
Infrastructure:
VIT is a private based university and hence there is no compromise in infrastructure. VIT has world class standard of equipments installed for the welfare of the students. The classrooms and other laboratories are all equipped with advanced digital equipments for proper and advanced study of the students. The teachers teaching are also well qualified and experienced. The teaching measures and the education system are also flawless. VIT keeps itself up t0o date with the demands of the market and provides all of it to its students.
Course Offered:
VIT offers various bachelor level and masters level course in technological and engineering fields. Apart from that it also offers course such as MBA, MCA, and other normal course. The university offers 15 Undergraduate and 31 Postgraduate coursework programs in addition to full-time/part-time research degrees in the form of Ph.D., M.S. (by research) degrees under the Engineering and Management disciplines, and Ph.D., M.Phil in Sciences and Languages.
