what are the minimum qualification required for bank manager?

im a BE graduate.....in d computer science....can dis may lead me to become bank manager... or any further qualificacation is required...please reply....

You did not mention the highest level of academic qualification that you have or other information like whether you have prior experience into Banking sector or not.

One thing I want to say that Bank Manager is the highest level of position in a particular branch of a Bank.

Bank Manager is the responsible person for each and every happening of that particular branch.

So such a important designation will not be given to Freshers.

It will be given to the candidates who are having hands on experience in various roles of a Bank.

If you do not have any prior experience, I suggest you to apply for IBPS PO Exam or Specialist Officers Exam as these designations will almost be equal to Assistant Manager.


Do the job for 4-5 years and then you will be having the better chances to become a Bank Manager.

1. Pass graduation in any subject or in any engineering stream or equivalent from a recognized Institute / University.

2. Nationality - Indian

3. Age - 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.

NOTE: - Final year appearing candidates can also apply for Bank Manager's post.

To get a job in banking sector you need the following qualifications..

1. you must have completed any degree with minimum pass percentage.
2. you must be a citizen of India
3. you must be under 27 age for general category
For bc-3yrs of age relaxation
For sc/st - 5yrs of age relaxation
4. you have to clear the IBPS PO exam for manager post / IBPS clerical exam
for clerical posts with good score.

Yes graduation is necessary for bank jobs except clerck... for clerk 12th pass is eligible..
