The Certificates of the National Institute of Open Schooling NIOS is as recognized as any other certificates given by any of the recognized Board. The Government of India has given the authority to conduct Public Examinations at Secondary and Sr. Secondary level. Hence, National Institute of Open Schooling NIOS, act as any another National Board.

Candidate obtaining a certificate from NIOS, are eligible to take admission in most of the Colleges and Universities, given, one must fulfill the other eligibility criteria required for the admission.

From nursery till class 11 I have been studying in an icse school but unfortunately I failed in class 11 and this year i will be appearing for NIOS. So my question is after passing from this board will i get any good colleges in calcutta ? I mean is there a scope.
