There is a minimum age requirement of 21 years and a maximum of 30 years. Since you were born in July 1981 you can appear for this year exam. The forms will be available from 19th February. You can purchase it from the main post office near you. The prelims are scheduled for June.

To become Indian Administrative Officer You need crack CSAT exam i.e Civil Services Exam.

Eligibility Criteria For writing is any Graduate with any Discipline and Age must be in between 21 to 30 years as on 01 August 2011

You are 1981 born guy , and you will going to complete 30 years Of age in this July. if your Month would have fall after the August then you could write, But now you can't write the Exam.Because your Age will Exceed the Criteria Limit.

Good luck.
