Sir/Ma'am,

I ve secured 6.3 CGPA in my B.Tech.
Am I eligible for any PSU examination ?
Or am I eligible for the Civil Services Examination ?

Dear Friend

First of all you should check with your college rules if 6.3 CGPA equivalent to 63%.

Some PSUs put eligibility criteria as 65% and some put eligibility criteria 60%.

NTPC and BHEL require 65% marks in B.E./B.Tech.
Almost all other PSUs require 60% marks.


There is no restriction in Civil Services as per marks in qualifying exam.
All those who are graduate in any discipline from any Govt. of India recognized
institutions, are eligible for Civil Services examination.

sir, i m a student of b.tech printing final year.i heared now gate is compulsury 4 govt. job. is it really so?
plz tell me the govt. job 4 b.tech printing student.

i think that there is no cgpa requirements in bhel...if so then can you please post the link referring to the matter...

sir i have secured 6.4 cgpa and gate score 630 my 10th-84.9% and 12th 95.5%...am i eligible for applying for psus....

for apllying to any psu at least 60% or 6.75 cgpa required...but you can aplly for IES there will be no any percentage criteria required.
