RTO (Regional Transport Officer) Exam is conducted by the state Public service commission of India.There are two posts for which this exam is being conducted.These are for :-
~Clerks.
~Sub Assistant Engineer.

The information given will help you to get the entire details on this exam.

RTO Clerk Exam details

• Minimum educational qualification required for this post is Intermediate passed out in any discipline from recognized university/board.
• Your minimum age should be 18 years and should not be above 35 years.
• The candidates who have diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be also eligible to apply for this exam.

RTO Sub Assistant Exam details

• For this post your minimum educational qualification should be Degree/Engineering in Mechanical/Computer science.
• Your minimum age should be 21 years.
• Your age should not be above 35 years after getting age relaxations facility.

Exam Pattern :-
~This exam will include questions from two sections.
~These sections will be :- General and Technical.
~Each sections will include 100 questions.
~Total duration of each set will be 2 hours.
~Total marks for each set will be 100.

Exam Syllabus :-

PART A

1. General English.
2. General Hindi/Regional Language.
3. General Knowledge.
4. Logical Reasoning.

PART B

1. Technical paper I - Objective type.
2. Technical paper II - Subjective type.

As far books is concerned you should purchase books for general sections and for technical sections you should refer your course text books.The books for general sections are :-

• Reasoning :- R.S.Agarwal.
• General English - Mirror of common Error.
• General Knowledge - Lucent Publications.

You need to be 18+ and 12th pass to apply for the post of an officer whereas you must be 21+ and must be a graduate to apply for the officers post.
