Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

The examination is knocking the door as the notification is coming on 25th September,2011

for that keep visiting its official website www.upsc.gov.in

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University.

ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE).

iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE)

Age Limit:

i)For IMA:19-24 Years

ii)For OTA:19-23 Years

iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years

iv)For AFA :19-25 Years

The Examination Date:13.02.2012

The Last Date of Application:25.10.2011

Second Examination of 2012:

The Date of exam: 18.09.2012

The Date of Notification: 30.04.2012

TheLast date of Applications:30.05.2012

They select the students through the
i) Written Test
ii)Intelligence & Personality test
iii)Medical test.

Exam Pattern
i) Written Test

for IMA / Naval Academy / AFA
All the three papers are of objective type containing the
English
General Knowledge
Elementary Mathematics
total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks.

for OTA
All the two papers are of objective type containing the
English
General Knowledge
total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks.

ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc...

iii)Medical test.
After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals.

Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training.

Yes, You are eligible for CDS Examination, If you are Pursuing your Final year degree course form a recognised University.

CDS : Combined Defense Service Examination.

And this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year, and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course form a recognised University, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for CDS Examination.

Those who are Interested in CDS Examination, may apply for these Academy :

>> IMA
>> OTA
>> Naval Academy
>> Air Force Academy.

For IMA/OTA : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University.

For Naval and Air Force Academy : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in Engineering or B.sc With Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects.

Age Eligiblity Criteria :

>> IMA : Your age should between 19 to 24 Years
>> OTA : Your age should between 19 to 25 Years
>> Naval Academy : Your age should between 19 to 22 years
>> Air Force Academy : Your age should between 19 to 23 Years.

About Notification :

The Notification of CDS (I) 2012 Examination was already Updated in the official website and the Online Registration Process was already Started and If you are Interested in CDS Examination then please Fill the application form Soon before the last date.

You can Only fill the application form Online Because no Other mode of application form Should be Accepted, and you have to pay the fees through SBI Net Banking or Pay the fees directly in SBI Bank.

The last date of apply for CDS Examination : 28/Nov/2011.

Examination date of CDS : 12/Feb/2012.

Eligibility For CDS Exam

Yes,you are definitely eligible as far as your educational qualification is concerned..

The CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam are conducted by UPSC every year twice in the months of February and August..

The next CDS exam is going to be conducted on 12th February,2012 and the last date for form submission of forms is 28th November,2011..

In order to appear for CDS you need to fulfill the following minimum criterion :-

1) Depending on the trade you want to join in..you need to fulfill their respective age restrictions :-

For Indian Naval Academy : 19-22 years
For Indian Air Force Academy : 19-23 years
For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 years
For Officers Training Academy : 19-25 years..

2) You should be a graduate degree holder or a final year graduation student from a recognized University..

The written exam will be of 300 marks divided into 3 sections of equal marks namely :-
Basic Maths
English
General Knowledge
