CDS stands for Combined Defence Service . UPSC Conduct CDS Examination for twice in a year .

Educational Qualification:-

1. For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent

2. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering

3. For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering.

Age Criteria:-

1. For Indian naval academy -> 19 years to 22 years
2. For Officer training academy -> 19years to 25years
3. For Military academy -> 19years to 24 years
4. For Indian air force academy -> 19 years to 23years

Your eye power is -2.0 and +0.25 . So i think it will not create any problem for medical test but -2.0 part will be create some problem .Because when they will test your distance vision at that time you can read the letter properly .

The details of eye sight criteria for all wings are given below.You should compare with your eye sight .

Eye sight for Indian Army =

1. Uncorrected without glass – 6/12
2. Corrected with glass – 6/6
3. Limits of Myopia – 3.5
4. Limits of Hypermetropia – +2.5
5. Binocular vision III
6. Limits of Colour Perception I

Eye sight for Indian Navy =

1. Uncorrected without glass: 6/6
2. Corrected with glass: 6/6
3. Limits of Myopia: -0.75
4. Limits of Hypermetropia: +1.5
5. Limits of Colour Perception: I
6. Binocular Vision: III

Eye sight for Indian Air force =

1. Minimum distant vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other
2. Correctable to 6/6 only for Hypermetropia
3. Colour vision CP-I
4. Hypermetropia = + 2.0 D Sph
5. Manifest Myopia = Nil

CDS II Exam Dates 2013 :-

Date of Notification : 25.05.2012
Last date for receipt of applications : 24.06.2013
Date of Commencement of Exam : 08.09.2013
