I am a B.Pharma fresher and wanna know that i am eligible for drug inspector exam?
If yes then when it is going to be held and what is the syllabus for that?

for Drug Inspector exams are conducted by mostly by all state government for their states so i suggest you to keep checking UPSC websites that is www.upse.nic.in and they qualifications are:-

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
A candidate must have hold a degree in Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law.
No person who has any financial interest in the import/manufacture of sale or drugs and cosmetics shall be appointed as an Inspector, under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1945.

AGE : A candidate must be under 32 years and above 21 years of age.

so yes you are eligible...

The syllabus for Drug inspector have many section.Some are come from following syllabus as per my knowledge.........:--
1. FORENSIC PHARMACY .
2. MANUFACTURING OPHARMACY.
3. PHARMACEUTICAL ANALYSIS.
4. MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY
5. PHARMACOGNESY

7. HOSPITAL & CLINICAL OPHARMACY
8.ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY & HEALTH EDUCATION

Must should degree in Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology, from any recognise univercity.

AGE LIMIT:

under 32 years and above 21 years of age.

Dear friend,

To became an drug inspector You have to clear the state level entrance conducted by the UPSC. The eligibility criteria may differ from state to state.

Generally the eligibility criteria for drug inspector is as follows:

Qualification - A candidate must have passed a degree in

1. Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences
2. Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology
3. Microbiology from a recognized University.


Age limit - 21 to 35 years
