Re: Am I eligible for SBI Bank PO exam after scoring 63.3% in 10th, 64.5% in class 12th and 47.3% in graduation?
State Bank of India (SBI) is not only the largest public sector bank but one of the biggest banks in India. Unlike other Public Sector Banks, State Bank of India does not rely of the Institute of Banking Personnel Services to conduct the entrance exams.
State Bank of India conducts its own entrance exam for Clerk and PO jobs. The marks scored in 10th and 12th are not considered. Only graduation score is considered. Unfortunately in your case, the graduation score is not sufficient to appear for the SBI PO entrance exam. You are falling quite short and even if belongs to reserve category, you are not gonna be eligible to appear for the entrance exam. My suggestion would be to apply for the IBPS Bank PO. You are eligible for this entrance exam. SBI PO Eligibility 1. State Bank only allows Indian nationals to appear for the exam. 2. Qualification criteria is graduation degree. 3. At least 65 percent marks should have been scored in graduation. 4. Reserve category students need to have 60 percent. 5. Candidate should have basic knowledge to operate computers. 6. The age limit is 21 to 30 years. 7. 3 years relaxation for OBC while 5 years for SC/ST. IBPS Bank PO 1. IBPS too only allows Indian citizens to apply. 2. Any graduation degree which is valid is sufficient enough. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. Minimum age limit is 20 and maximum age limit is 30 years. 5. Maximum age limit is relaxed by 3 for OBC and 5 for SC/ST. |
