i finished my M.Sc in microbiology (2011)in sahyadri science college(autonomous),shimoga.my percentage is 83.24,is thr chance of getting gold medal from university.

There are two types of prize distribution, One is given by the college side to topper of each branch & second prize is given by the University side. But University gives medals only to the University rank holder. So if you are topper in your college then you may get medal as appreciation from college, & if your marks is highest in University then definitely you will get one Medals along with some cash money as prize.
83.24% Marks in M.Sc course is very good and hopefully you will get Medals for your nice performance in Final exam, But rank criteria also matters.
