I am a graduate with 60% marks in B.A stream SOCIOLOGY. My age is 28 years and I belong to Uttar Pradesh. Is there any government job to which I am eligible? If yes, then when and how to apply for it?

You are eligible for any government job in public sector which has a eligibility criteria of graduation. You are also eligible for various posts of Public Service Commission comes under UP government. If you have B ed course you can apply for government teaching job. There are no specific post for BA Sociology candidates.

You have to appear and qualify in entrance examination for the final selection in government jobs.

The required eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

You are eligible to appear for recruitment in Banking, Railway, SSC etc.

Candidates passed bachelor degree in any discipline are eligible to appear for government jobs recruitment examination.

So, you can appear in examination for recruitment in Banking, Railway, Defence, SSC, Civil Service etc .

You have to qualify in all stages of examination for final selection.
