Quote:
Coming to your question actually what is IAS ..? IAS is a Service which is the administrative powers job which is given to some top brains every year through a Entrance examination called Civil Service Examination which is conducted by a Government body called UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) The eligibility criteria required for this examination is ->you should have 21 years of minimum age. ->you have to complete atleast a degree to be eligible for this examination. Now presently what you have to do is complete your Under graduation in any stream which you like may be it is engineering or a normal degree after attaining the minimum age wait for the exam notification then after you can simply follow the three stage examination pattern with vigorous preparation. Then after successfully clearing all the stages you can become IAS officer. By chance if you fail to in any of the three stages then you should Not feel bad or sad about that it is very common for IAS aspirants. you should again re appear. Anyways this is the case if you don't clear in the first attempt I hope you can clear with your first attempt only all the best Regards ~AdityA~ |

Re: For being an IAS what should I do after 12th?
Hello friend,
To become an IAS officer, you will have to appear for civil service exam. This examination is conducted by UPSC every year. Therefore, after 12th, you must follow the stream of your interest and complete your graduation. Being a graduate will make you eligible to write the exam. The civil service exam is considered as the toughest exam conducted in India, therefore, you will have to work very hard and qualify all the three stages which are as follows: Civil Service Aptitude Test Main Exam Interview So, at this point of time, you must concentrate on your bachelors degree program and must work hard on general studies, English and general mathematics, general science etc. |

for giving ias exam, the student must have done graduation in any field with at least 60% marks. the age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years which can increase to 35 years for sc/st students. only after getting these qualifications, you can give the exam. there will be three rounds in the exam. firstly, you will have to give the preliminary exam. this exam will be of objective questions. after qualifying in that exam, you will have to give the main exam, which will be in written form. after passing both the exams, you will be called for the personal interview. after passing that interview, you will become an ias officer. the notification regarding the exam comes in the employment news. for more details regarding the exam, you can visit www.upsc.gov.in |
