Re: Best courses after passing 12th? I want to be a Pilot
hi..
it is glad to know that you want to be a pilot.. but it is expensive to be a pilot.. The demand for pilots will be so great that the industry could ultimately face a shortage. Airline industry is on the brink of what’s predicted to be the biggest surge in pilot hiring in history. Aircraft maker Boeing has forecast a need for 466,650 more commercial pilots by 2029 — an average of 23,300 new pilots a year. The cost will come around 25,00,000- 30,00,000 INR. Requirements to become a commercially certificated pilot are:------------- Must be 18 years of age. Must hold a second class medical. Must take commercial ground school and pass a written test with a score of 70% or better. Must have high performance instructor sign-off. Must have at least 250 hours of flight time including: - at least 100 hours in powered aircraft. - at least 50 hours in airplanes. - 10 hours flight instruction in an airplane having a retractable landing gear, flaps, and a controllable pitch propeller. - 50 hours of flight instruction including. - 10 hours instrument instruction with 5 hours in airplanes. - 10 hours of instruction in preparation for the commercial pilot flight test. - 100 hours pilot in command time with at least 50 hours in airplanes. - 50 hours cross-country with one flight at least 250 nautical miles from original departure point. - 5 hours night flight including at least 10 takeoffs and landings as sole manipulator of the controls. To be hired as a commercial pilot with a regional airline, you need at least twice the flight time as well as a multi -engine and instrument rating. A good pilot must have following qualities............. Multi tasking stay calm under pressure able to listen to listen to very unclear radio transmissions able to work in a team quick reactions you have to be willing to follow ALL rules if you want to be commercial pilot, you must be a pleasant person to work with and of course, you must have the desire to fly.some people think they have this, but change their minds once in the program All Flying school in India are just giving training on single engine aircraft like Cessna, pushpak, Hansa etc. But if you go to canada you can get trained on multi engine aircraft for the same expense. The cost will come around 30,00,000 INR. For Indian Flying Schools see........... http://dgca.nic.in/licencing/fly-ind.htm,, All the best.. thanks.. ~$uVenDu~ |
