Sir,i want to ask what is better option after BCA 1)MCA. or M.tech.
Pls consult me.

Dear friend,

After BCA, it is better to do MCA ,as this is the course related to your graduation study course.

M.Tech is a better choice for a B.Tech student. Now the things you have gone through in BCA, are going to be studies in an elaborated manner.

So ,it will be much helpful for you to pursue the MCA after BCA, as far as i think.

If you are interested in technical field then go for M Tech. It will provide more exposure to the subject indeed.

MCA is the only option, because only after you have an MCA degree, you can get admitted to MTech (IT). The combination course is of 5 years duration (makes you save a year, it seems). And this is available in select institutes only. But purely MCA also has very nice career options. And if not MCA, you can choose MBA or go to job directly. There are schemes of companies that let you learn-while-you-earn, like the SAP Labs in Bangalore - they get you an MBA from BITS Pilani.

According to me MCA would be a good option because MCA has a very good job oppurtunity than M.Tech.

Both MCA & MTech are equally good. They offers bright career opportunities with huge potential for career growth & development, handsome salary & high promotional prospects.

But if you are BCA graduate you can not do MTech. You can however do Mtech after completing MCA.

MCA is one of the highly demanded career in India. MCA graduates are recruited by top IT companies like dell, oracle, infosys, tcs, satyam etc. So, you can join MCA without any worries.

As i know if you done your bachelor degree in BCA then i think MCA is batter option for you because it is related to the study of BCA.But it totally depend on your interest if you are interested in M.Tech then there are good scope for M.Tech.

Some college or institute provite M.tech After BCA...

After BCA , MCA is better option for good job......... after MCA you can get easily a good job in software companies......

BCA stands for the Bachelor of the Computer Applications. Its a full time course in graduation which is of 3 years duration.


Its related to the studies about the Discreet Mathematics, Programming languages like C, C++, Core java etc. Also DBMS, Networking security etc are some of the other subjects under this.


Bow once a candidate has taken up BCA and also finished there are two major options which are available in front of him/her :


1. MCA - Masters's in Computer Applications - This is considered to be the advanced post graduation course of the BCA as it continues the further course in a more detailed manner.

It is a technical course, and one can always think of becoming a professor in this field or go for further more computer studies ahead in career.
Only graduates who had studied maths in 12th or in their graduation can apply for this course.


2. MBA - Master's in Business Administration - This course is a must theses days looking at the demand of it in the market. Every graduate is running for this course be it today or tomorrow. Its also a full time 2 year program and can be studied by any graduate. No limitations in terms or stream, age or attempt are put in this as such.


Now i would say that if you wish to continue more studies in Computers, then you can surely go for the MCA course.

Otherwise, if you wish to get a job in the top MNC's, then MBA is the compulsory course for you.

After BCA you cannot do M.TECH

because for M.TECH

Candidate must pass B.TECH unless not Do.

So better you go for higher study like:--

MCA that is also helpful to you find good job...

First if you do BCA then after you go for MCA

So in this case after BCA MCA is 2 years programme other than it is 3 years after general graduation....

After MCA if you go for M.Tech then that is much better because Master Degree always wellcome any university.....

After obtaining BCA, you should pursue.

MTech is for BE/BTech boys. Even if any university admits BCA boys into MTech stream, you would find the going really tough, because all the skills learnt by the BE/BTech boys would be put to full use and you would be left wondering what is going on.

Pl pursue MCA.

No dear , you can go for M.Tech after BCA.

If you want to do M.Tech you have to go for MSc (Maths) or MCA

Eligibility criteria:

1) The candidate must have passed B.E or B. Tech with an aggregate of 60%.

or
The candidate must have passed the Engineering course Approved by the Institute of Engineers A.M.I.E ( India ) with appropriate specialization

2) The candidate must have a valid GATE Score.

Sorry dear you are not eligible to pursue.

Since you are a student of BCA. So, It is most preferable to you to choose MCA after BCA.

Then my friend, don't get confuse , you should go for a field in which you have more interest..
But after completion of BCA course you will not be able to apply for M.tech course..
To apply for M.tech course you have to qualify in GATE exam.
Through GATE exam you can take admission in M.tech course..

Eligibility for GATE exam:------------------------->>

1.Candidate must have complete the bachelor's degree in fields like-- B.E/B.tech/B.Arch..
or,
Candidate must have complete the master's degree in fields like- MBA/MCA/M.Sc..
2.Final year candidates are also eligible for the exam.
3.No such percentage criteria is required.
4.No upper age limit.
5.No number of attempt restriction..

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill to appear in GATE exam..
So, after completion of master degree in your field you can go for M.tech course..

I will suggest you to go for MCA course rather than doing M.tech course..
After completion of MCA course you can get a good job in IT sectors..
Also it will not create any problem to pursue the MCA course as you have done bachelor's degree in computer application..
To apply for MCA course you have to qualify in MCA entrance exams like- JECA/NIMCET..
So, get prepare for these exams..

After completion of B.C.A., the MCA is only one option. After completion of MCA you are eligible to get admission into M.Tech through GATE or PGCET. The eligibility of M.Tech is B.Tech or MCA or MSc. The eligibility of MCA is BCA or BSc or B.Com or BBA etc.

So MCA is best option.

As you have done BCA,you cannot directly go for M.tech course.You can do M.Tech after MCA.You can also do combined degree course(5 years)

Master of Computer Applications is the only option for you. There is no way to do M.Tech after BCA. It is not possible therefore you should focus on the Master of Computer Applications. After completing MCA you can apply for the job in various software companies.

The Master of Technology course is possible either after completing B.Tech or MCA. I will not advice you to do M.Tech after MCA. You should only do that if you are not getting good job after completing Master of Computer Applications. Otherwise you should really avoid M.Tech course.

To do M.Tech you will have to appear for the General Aptitude Test for Engineering but like I said, it is only possible after completing Master of Computer Applications.


MCA Eligibility

1. Must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

2. At least 50 percent marks in graduation.

3. You should have Maths as a subject in 12th or graduation.

You cannot join an M.Tech course directly after BCA. First you have to complete MCA, then only you can pursue an M.Tech course.

BCA+MCA=B.Tech(CSE).
(roughly)
