Well, most of youngsters are choosing engineer because of bright scope. I want to tell you that no stream is less than any other stream. All streams are equal and one stream can't survive without the help of others and vice-versa. So my suggestion is to opt for that stream in which you interest, for which you have passion.

Few streams that are in high demand in market at present :-

Mechanical Engineering
Computer Science and Engineering
Information Technology
Electrical
Electronics and Telecommunication
Civil and Environmental Engineering
Automobile Engineering
Bio-Technology/Bio-Informatics/Genetic Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Architectural Engineering
Aeronautical Engineering

Nevertheless other engineering streams also hold good scope. You can have a very good career profile if you work with dedication and passion in industries.

If you want to have job in public (Govt.) sector you can go for
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical
Electronics and Telecommunication
Civil and Environmental Engineering
Aeronautics
Architectural Engineering

this also stream also serves good options in private sector also.

Good Luck and Act wisely !!

hi,
As you are a girl...so,civil is not a good choice for you..
Because in civil you have to give physical work ..it is suitable for boys..not for girls..
CS and IT is the best for girls...only computer and brain work required...
No physical work..
All the best..
Thank you..

hi friend.

you asked a very wise question but interest in a particular field matters.

1st you decide that in which field you are strong and you love much then you go for it. Generally these things are cleared during the intermediate.

Here some branches i am giving. If you want a branch and you are ready to compromise with your branch then i must say that you should go for a core or semi-core branch.

1) Electrical Engineering.
2)Mechanical Engineering.
3)Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
4)Electronics Engineering.
5)Electronics & Communications(Tele) Engineering.
6)Civil Engineering.
7)Computer-science Engineering.
8)Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
9)Automobile Engineering.
10) Chemical Engineering.

All the very best. But i suggest you should select a branch according to your intrest in which you can do well.

hi friend,

##The field of engineering is very vast.
##Generally we can say that engineering is a application of physics.
##The major you want to opt for the engineering depand on your interest.
##Following are the branches of engineering.

CORE BRANCH OF ENGINEERING:-
##Mechanical
##Electrical
##Civil
##CHEMICAL
##BIOTECHNOLOGY
##AERONAUTUCS

**The first 3 branches are the booming branch which also provide job in government sector
**aeronautical and chemical are good for research work.
**biotech scope is very less in india so all the student go for further study.

NON CORE BRANCH
##COMPUTER ENGG
##INFORMATIOIN AND TECHNOLOGY
##ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMUNICATION

these branch are good for private sector

The Civil Engineering course is generally not recommended to the girls. But in recent years, more and more girls are taking admission for the Civil Engineering. You can also take admission if you find the course interesting.

Apart from Civil Engineering, girls are also not recommended Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Instead you will find that Electronics and Communication and Computer Science are the preferred branches of girls.

Most of the girls prefer to take admission in B.Tech Electronics and Communictions. While they keep Computer Science Engineering as the backup option. I will recommend you to do the same. However as I mentioned earlier, you can also take the Civil Engineering if you like but its not recommended to girls.

To get admission you will have to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). It is conducted in place of AIEEE and IIT-JEE.

JEE Eligibility

1. Candidate must have passed 12th board exams.

2. Should have taken PCM subjects.

3. Diploma holders can also apply.

4. There is no marks criteria.

5. Age limit is 25 years for the exam.

6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

7. Each candidate gets 3 consecutive attempts to clear exam.

The first stage of JEE is JEE Mains and second stage is JEE Advanced. The second stage is only for those who want admission in Indian Institutes of Technology. To appear for it first you must clear JEE Mains and remain in top 150,000.
