Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
It depends upon your own ability.
Both the courses have good prospect in India. If you have have technical abilities then go for Btech+mtech, while if you have both the qualities and want to utilise it then go for btech+mba. best of luck |

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
if you are very much interested in engineering and want to make your career in engineering sector then it will be good for you if you go for b.tech +m.tech
if you are interested in management then you should go for b.tech+mba..... or rather if you are interested in mba only then go for a short period graduation like bsc.....it will save your one complete year......... best of luck |

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
in my openion you must do both if your poket permits you then do m-tech regular couse and after getting a job go for MBA by distance learning when you feel it is required other wise in my openion M.tech along with btech is a good and bright option for you i will sincerely urge you to remain in your technical field and not to try and change it for any reasons so go for Mtech and do well in it if you feel like doing MBA then do it from corrospondonce otherwise not required and once you do a job you can easily do MBA .. good luck

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
u should ask this question from yourself.....if you find interest in your core competency then go for MS, and if you are interested in managerial jobs then go for MBA.
and if u ultimately choose MBA over mtech, first garner some work experience which will make easy for you to zero-in to which branch of mgmt you want to study |

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
This is a question that should be asked to you..
as you know that MBA is a field where you would not need any technical background indeed... but what you need is to have a graduate degree... but if you are interested in enriching your knowledge in technical field and become a good engineer to this country you must go for M-tech.. but if you have only done to earn ample money then i prefer you to go for MBA. yeah it is right in this era money is essential thing but that should not be so much that you have to run behind it.. so now it's up to you.. best of luck for your future. |

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
dear friend
both fields are good but both are different .... because one is for technical education and another is for management... doing in only one field is better than the mixture of fields... so in my opinion b.tech + m.tech is better than b.tech+mba.. so good luck. |

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
b.tech+m.tech is much better combination than b.tech+mba as m.tech is the next higher level of study for b.tech......if you go mba you will find all the new concepts you will be facing lots of problems in that whereas if you go for m.tech you will be finding the same concept but a bit deep explanation....

Re: Btech mtech or btech mba?
If you want to make a career in R&D and technology innovation, do your masters in technology. Those who want to pursue a teaching career in technology, Mtech is the natural option. However if you are looking at moving to a technocommercial role, MBA seems a better bet. MBA gives you exposure to dealing with business environment, people, markets and competitors. Now in India if you look at job opportunities, many of the top firms prefer Btech and MBA when it comes to recruiting for mid and senior level roles. Especially the big software industry offers a wide plethora of such positions. However since many top technology companies are now coming down to India like Intel, Qualcomm and Cisco, even Mtech guys are now getting more opportunities to make a mark in applied research and product design. But this seems to be mostly happening in the field of electronics and computer science. For Mtech in other engineering areas, still most of the opportunities are provided by Navaratnas or Indian public sector giants like BHEL, SAIL and so on.

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
dear friend, it is very difficult to say which is good or which has less importance.
its fully depend upon your choice, in which sector you want to go. If you are interested in research/teaching field then B.Tech+M.Tech is suitable for you. otherwise but i want to suggest you to do B.Tech+MBA because now a present days the market is booming. choice is yours. good luck. |

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
B.tech + MBA is undoubtedly better , as lots of job opportunity are there through this. But B.tech + M.tech is also not bad , if you wanna be a professor or if you have interest in research field then go for B.tech +M.tech. And if you do B.Tech+ M.tech then also you can get job of engineer. But at the end the only thing that matter is from which college you get your degree. M tech from IIT is much better than MBA from some other college and MBA from IIM is much better then M. Tech from a not so good engineering college.
More replies are invited Thank you |

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
If you are really want to advance your knowledge in technical field then B tech + M tech is good option for you . but according to my point of view MBA is the best option . Because doing MBA you have great knowledge about technical field as well as business field so combination of both these things will increase your demand in the market. but your more interest is in M tech then you should have to go for M tech.

Re: Btech+mtech or btech+mba?
Simple and straight forward answer if you want to earn money go for MBA. If you are more interested in science and more fascinated by it then choose M.tech.
It completely depends up on your need and interest. You can also choose MBA after your M.tech. |
