Hello sir, I am 17 years old and I have passed 10th with 70% marks. I want to join Indian Navy. Am I eligible to join Indian Navy? Which type of post I can get?

In Indian Navy, There are various posts available & different eligibility criteria for each. To apply for Indian Navy, You should have minimum qualification (10+2).

Eligibility

Qualification
You must have passed (10+2) with physics and maths as a compulsory subjects from a recognized board.

Age Limit
Age criteria is different for different types of entry.

- NDA : 16.5-19 Years
- SSC Pilot & Observer : 19-23 Years
- SSC Law & Logistics Cadre : 19.5-25 Years
- SSC Education : 21-25 Years
- NCC Special Entry : 19-24 Years

Physical Standards
- Height : Min. 157 cms for Men and 152 cms for Women
- Eye Sight : 6/6 In One Eye & 6/9 In Other Eye.

NDA Important Dates
- Registration Process Starts : 18/01/2017
- Last Date of Registration : 10/02/2017
- NDA Exam : 23/04/2017

No, minimum required qualification to join Indian Navy is 12th std.

Candidates passed 12th with PCM as main paper are eligible to appear for examination conducted for recruitment in Indian Navy as Clerk or as an Officer.

Sorry, to say that you are not eligible to join Indian Navy after completion of your 10th standard with 70% aggregate marks from a Government recognised board. Eligibility criteria required to join Indian Navy is mentioned below :-

1. You should be an Indian National.

2. You should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with PCM stream from a Government rceognised board.

3. You should be at least 16.5 years old and not more than 19.5 years of age.

4. You should be an Unmarried Male candidate.

5. You should be physically as well as mentally healthy.

For recruitment on any post you need to have minimum of 12th std qualification to join Indian Navy.

So, you have to pursue 12th std to get jobs. It is compulsory to have Mathematics and Physics as main paper in 12th board to appear for entrance examination.

Candidates also have to qualify in physical criteria different for different post to get jobs.

The candidates are eligible for recruitment as officer but on qualifying in NDA entrance examination. The age limit for examination is 16.5-19.5 years.

No, 10th standard candidates are not eligible for Indian Navy exam.

After completion of 12th standard, you are eligible for Indian Navy exam through NDA exam. But your 12th standard subject are Physics and Mathematics.

Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19.5 years.
