Hello, I am 29 years old a women candidate and I want to apply for NET JRF exam. Can I apply for NET JRF exam of this year? Relaxation in age for women?

Yes, you are eligible to appear for JRF examination conducted by UGC. The examination is conducted twice every year.

The minimum required aggregate to appear for examination is 55% in master's degree and 50% for reserved category.

The age limit to appear for examination is 19-28 years but there is 5 years relaxation in upper age limit ( 19-33 years ) for reserved category and women as on 1st July of year of appearing for examination.

Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET exam in JRF post because 5 years age relaxation is provided for women's candidates.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by UGC.

The educational qualification required for UGC NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for UGC NET exam.

There are no age criteria for UGC NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.
