Hello sir, I am pursuing Civil Engineering from the Institution of Civil Engineers (India), Ludhiana Punjab. Can I apply for the bank tests conducted by SBI, SBT and IBPS?

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection. IBPS conducts Common written exam for post of Clerk and Probationary officer of more than twenty nationalized banks. State Bank of India conducts its own entrance examination for these posts.

The educational qualification for post of Clerk or PO is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for these entrance exam. Civil Engineering candidates are eligible to apply for bank entrance exam for different posts.

The age limit for IBPS Clerk is 20-28 years and that for PO is 20-30 years. The age limit for SBI PO is 21-30 years. OBC candidates get three years upper age relaxation and SC/ST candidate get five years upper age relaxation.

If you have completed B.Tech/ B.E in Civil Engineering from a recognized University then you are eligible for Bank exam.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible for IBPS and SBI clerk exam.

As per my knowledge, yes Civil Engineering student are eligible to apply for the bank tests conducted by SBI, SBT and IBPS. The required eligibility is that candidate must have passed graduation from a recognized board. There is no percentage criteria required for tests conducted by SBI, SBT and IBPS. The minimum age of applicants should be 20 years.

But remember you are eligible to apply for all the recruitment's that are mentioned above when you are a final year of Engineering candidate. On the other side, if you are pursuing 2nd or 3rd year of Engineering, in such case I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for above mentioned tests. So you are eligible to apply for above mentioned recruitment's only when you follow both these cases.
