Can female join the army wing. What are age requirements for females.

Yes you can definitely join Indian Army being an female candidate but for the same you will have to crack CDS examination .

CDS stands for Combined Defense Services and the same examination is held for the recruitment of employees in the defense services .Also the same examination is held by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year generally in the months of January and September and are commonly known as CDS I & CDS II respectively .

The basic necessary qualifications required for appearing in this examinations are here under :-

* You must be an Indian citizen .

* Your age must be within 19 Years to 24 years .

* You must have a bachelor degree with any discipline from a recognized university .Final year students are also eligible for the same .

* You must be physically and mentally fit as per the requirement of service .

The same examination is held in two stages which are as Written examination and Service Selection Board interview held in order .
