Can a husband stand as a guardian in school certificate?
Sir/Madam, My wife were illiterate, but in recent years I managed to give her basic school education at home. She wished to give 10th class examination as a private candidate. Can I be her guardian on admission form???

Normally, the husband is the natural legal guardian of a married girl. But under the Hindu Minority and Guardianship Act, 1956, the father is the natural legal guardian of an unmarried woman, irrespective of her age.
