Re: Can I appear for NET after completing graduation in Economics Hons?
Post graduate diploma in business administration (PGDBA) is considered equivalent to the Master of Business Administration course. Which means that you are eligible for the National Eligibility Test.
To appear for NET entrance exam candidate should have completed post graduation degree course. The NET is conducted for college lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship. If you are meeting the percentage criteria to appear for the exam, then you will have to wait for the official notification from University Grants Commission which is expected anytime soon since the NET exam is expected to take place in June. Every year NET is conducted in June and December. The registration for the exam is done online through the UGC NET website. Eligibility 1. Nationality: Indian 2. Degree: Master degree or any equivalent course. 3. Marks: 55% or more. 4. Marks: SC/ST need 50 percent marks to appear for exam. 5. Final year students may also appear. 6. But final year PG students will have to submit the degree within 2 years of clearing National Eligibility Test. 7. Attempts: No limit on number of attempts per candidate. 8. Age (JRF): 28 years is the maximum age limit. 9. Age Relaxation: 31 years limit for OBC and 33 for SC/ST student appearing for Junior Research Fellowship. 10. Age (Lectureship): While the lower age is 19, there is no upper age limit. |

You % of marks in post graduation should not be less than 55 other wise you will not be eligible for it.SC/ST candidates get a 5% relaxation in marks.
