Can I appear for SBI PO and Clerk entrance with a degree in Hotel Management?


Sir, I have completed my B.Sc in Catering and Hotel Management degree from Bharatihar University, Coimbatore. Am I eligible for bank's competitive exams like SBI PO and Clerk entrance exams?

Yes, you can appear for Bank PO exam. In order to appear for Bank PO exam, you need to have completed your graduation from a UGC recognised University. So, If your B.Sc Hotel Management degree is from a UGC recongnised university then you are eligible for all Government, PSU or Government banks where eligibility criteria is graduation degree.

The minimum education required for appearing in the SBI bank PO and Clerical examination is a bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a recognised university.

So, having completed your Degree in Catering and Hotel Management, you are definitely eligible for appearing in the SBI bank clerk and PO recruitment as far as the educational requirement for the same recruitment is concerned.
